NATURE OF WORK

Designing and development of an in-house genome database involving gene, protein, mutant and transgene-centric data designs.

Current data types of research include experimental data on the model systems; genome sequencing and annotation data, transgene expression, copy number, zygosity, protein data, genetic and physical maps and genetic markers, microarray data, phenotype and allele data, and biochemical pathways.

AWARD

Won the "Monsanto-GKEP Award-99" for developing a scientist-friendly web-based kit as part of the ongoing genome database development.
