My Lyris
I adopted my Lyris egg so I could help an over populated land as they search for a way to expand their land and get more food.  A lyris resembles a wolf and a hunter. And like wolves they travel in packs. But instead of having pups they lay clutches of eggs.
Now that the she is an adult, she goes off on her own, but she comes back to visit me from time to time.

My lyris is a Sand Lyris. Sand Lyran are the friendliest of the Lyran. She is an adult. She likes to go exploring on her own now.  She is great at hunting and speaks well. Today I'm waiting for her to come back and tell all about her great adventures.
One night, I was sitting by the fire in my little house.  When I heard a noise from my front door.  Slowly I approached the door and opened it.  At first all I could see was a pair of blue-green eyes.  The light from inside shone on sandy colored fur.  "It's about time you open the door", replied the creature.  "Moon Dancer!", I said surprised.  We sat by the fire talking for hours.  She told me of her many adventures that she had out on her own.  One story was how is ended up in a giant thorn patch while she was hunting a deer.  I laughed, "I can see it was a grand adventure and a failed hunt."  "I don't see what is so funny about it", Dancer replied with a bit of a growl.  "Yes it is.  You still have some thorns and twigs on your coat", I said.  We spent the rest of the night cleaning her coat of debris and chatting.  We finaly fell a sleep with the first light of dawn.
