1. Cunning: clever or artful in a way that is intended to deceive
2. Addiction: A pathological relationship to any mood or mind alter substance or event that has life damaging consequences.

Recovery:
return to a normal state: the return of something to a normal or
improved state after a setback or loss

Sobriety:
abstinence from or moderation in the use
of alcohol or drugs
5.
Insidious: slowly
and subtly harmful or destructive.
6. Dual Diagnosis: in the addictions field this term means that a person is chemically dependent (addict/alcoholic) and also has a psychiatric disorder.
7. Humility: The
quality of being modest or respectful. Or my favorite description is one of Dr.
Bob Smith (co-founder of AA) Humility – Perpetual quietness of heart. It is to
have no trouble. It is to never be fretted or vexed. Irritable or sore; to
wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me.

Reliable:
able to be trusted to do what is expected
or has been promised.
9.
Commitment:
something that takes up time or energy,
especially an obligation.
10. Surrender: to
relinquish possession or control of something because of coercion or force.
11. Productive: producing
satisfactory or useful results.
12. Paradox: a
statement, proposition, or situation that seems to be absurd or contradictory,
but in fact is or may be true, i.e. “one must surrender to win”.
