RE: 503, WA2, Wiget

The purpose of EVOC 503 WA2 was to prepare a Work Study Contract for one of the students in the Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery course that I teach. The following six criteria were specified:

1.     Comply with all of the General Criteria for Written Assignments.

2.     Develop a "Work Experience Contract" for a particular student. The contract should not be more than 1 page (typewritten or word processed).

3.     Include specific information in the contract about what the STUDENT is expected to do.

4.     Include specific information in the contract about what the EMPLOYER is expected to do.

5.     Include specific information in the contract about what the INSTRUCTOR is expected to do

6.     On the cover memo (see #1 above) indicate and briefly describe at least one specific resource from which additional information about work study programs can be obtained.

The following sources of information were used relative to this assignment:

1.     Wiget, David - From my own professional experience.

2.      Sharma, Sunaina – ROP coordinator

I believe that the attached proposal meets all six of above listed criteria and respectfully request full credit: one point for meeting each of the above listed criteria.

Employer's Responsibility - Mr. Recovery will be Mr. Junkie’s direct supervisor at ARC and in addition to orienting him to his essential duties and answering his questions, he will meet with him briefly at the end of each work shift to provide feedback about his performance during that shift. In addition he will prepare a written report at the end of every month in which he documents his strengths and makes specific suggestions (when appropriate) for how Mr. Junkie can improve his on-the-job performance. Copies of these reports will be presented to both Mr. Junkie and his ROP instructor.

Teachers Responsibility – Mr.
