Cindy Attended the University of California Santa Barbara. She trained in ballet with an emphasis on modern dance. Her modern training was under the direction of Ross Parks of the Graham Company, Alice Condodina of Jose Limon and Esa Bergson of Merce Cunningham. She also had the opportunity to attend University master classes given by Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor and Houston Ballet. Her related academic classes included dance history, costume design, theater crew, orchestra, piano, music fundamentals, music theory and appreciation.
After receiving her degree she continued to study classical and contemporary ballet in Santa Barbara at Valerie Houston Dance Theatre and Santa Barbara Ballet. She has had the opportunity to study under Maggie Black (American Balet Theatre), Finis Jhung (New York), Robert Denver (Royal Danish Ballet), Anna Marie DeAngelo (Joffrey) and Arturo Fernandez (Alonzo King-Lines). Since arriving in Redding she has performed with Redding City Ballet, Westside Ballet Academie, Allison Dean of Sacramento, California Dance Company and Choreographers' Collaboration of Shasta College. At present she is employed as the instructor for ballet, tap and modern dance at Shasta College and heads their dance team. In addition, she coordinates the dance program at Redding School of the Arts, is director of Redding Ballet Academie and currect artistic director of Redding City Ballet a non profit ballet company which has presented Redding with it's community involved Nutcracker for the last five years.
