Christine Kingsbury


Christine began her dance training at Shasta College and joined the ballet program at Humbolt State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Her performance experience includes the Choreographers' Collaboration, the Shasta College Theater Festival where she appeared in "A Chorus Line" and the Shasta College Dance Department's annual productions of "Synaxsis". She has also participated in local studio productions for Dance Depot. She is currently a principle at Redding City Ballet where she has been cast in the roles of Clara and Snow Queen among other variations and has had several partnered adagios created specifically for her by various choreographers. Christine has also choreographed for Choreographers' Collaboration, Shasta College Children's Clinics, Redding School of the Arts and Redding City Ballet.

Currently she teaches ballet, tap and jazz at Redding Ballet Academie, Redding School of the Arts, company clases for Redding City Ballet and jazz and modern dance for Fine Arts and Communications at Shasta College

In addition to Christine's thirteen years of ballet training, she holds a Shotokan Karate of America Certified Black Belt, where she taught martial arts for beginning to advanced levels for both children and adults.
