I was born in Landschtul, Germany on an American Army Base in 1980. My father was obviously in the Army and my mother was and still is what she likes to call, a "Domestic Engineer". Much of my early childhood was spent moving from one country to the next because we had to go where ever the Army assigned him to be.
In 1990, we moved to Arizona. This would prove to be the longest assignment my father ever got as we stayed there for a total of seven years. In 1992, I picked up the trumpet. For the first time in my life, I found something that I could use as an emotional release. I did so by the music I played. In high school, I learned how to play Role Playing games. I still enjoy playing them hours on end with a bunch of my friends. It is a standing crusade of mine to re-populate the world with RPG's! College life was, to say the least, an experience like no other. I've had the full range of ups and downs in my college life. This ranges from things like getting engaged, then to the death of my first fiance and son, and then to meeting famous jazz musicians such as Maynard Ferguson and B.B. King. I am also currently in love with my wonderful Spring. She is truely a unique woman who still manages to amaze me every day. There are times when she annoys the bejesus out of me but I still love her so much. She is blessed with a sharp tounge and pen that defies convention. All her hard work and wit earned her a masters degree in English and she now teaches full time at a local college.
I graduated from Lincoln College with an Associate in Arts degree in May of 2000. In 2004, I graduated from Western Illinois University. It was an interesting experience that I'm sure I won't forget. Maybe I should write a section entitled "Western Adventures". Maybe not. People probably wouldn't read it anyway. I can be rather dull.
There are some other side notes about me as well. I love my car. It is a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. It is cherry red and has a removable chrome hard top. It has served me well, partially because it is in near mint condition and looks completely original. An interesting side note is that my car is the last production model to still come with an eight track player.
That should just about do it for now. If I think of anything to write later, I'll add it. If you have any questions about me or this site, don't hesitate to email me. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question. Meanwhile here is a quote to live by:
