Bice, Dennis
He enlisted
at Summerset Co, New Jersey and lived there after the war.
He applied for pension 29 Nov 1833 in
Henry Co, Kentucky record S. 30866. His
pension started Dec 14, 1833 at age 89. He was paid $320.00 annual allowance
and total amount received was $960.00.
The information from the DAR Index book
states he was a 1st Lt NJ and married Annie Ceburn. His wife's name is
spelt different then other records. He applied for pension 29 Nov 1833
in Henry Co, Kentucky record S. 30866. Enlisted at Sumerset Co, New
Jersey and lived there after the war. He moved to York County, PA for
several years then to Mercer Co, KY and then to Henry Co, KY about 1819.
There is an outline of his will dated Nov 14, 1830 Henry Co, Kentucky.
Another DAR book states the following.
Buys, Dennis, Vanduyn, Lieut, (Bice), b. 1 Dec. 1745, Middlesex Co.,
N.J., d. 18 July 1825, Henry Co., Ky., m. 26 Jan. 1765, Ann (Annie)
Sebring (Lebrant) (Cehern), b. 6 Mar. 1748, d. 21 June 1813. Service: He
was commissioned a 1st Lieut. 6 Feb. 1778, in Capt. Joseph Corshon's 9th
Company in Col. Henry VanDyke's 2nd Battalion of Somerset, N.J. Militia.
He served in tours of two or three months each until Nov. 1781. Length
of service about two years. He was in the service prior to his
commission but no length of time was stated. Children are then listed.

Hall, William
He was a soldier in the American Revolution. He
enlisted in Pennsylvania in April or March 1778 in Capt. Van
Swearingen's
Co, Col. Brodhead's Penn. Regt. He served in Capt. Long's Pennsylvania
Company. He was discharged after 18 months. He was in Bunker Hill, White
Plains, Fort Washington, Fort Lee, Trenton, Brandywine and Paoli. He was
a Private. He applied for his pension 22 June 18?8 in Jefferson Co, IN.
His wife Sarah applied for his pension 10 April 1875 in Jefferson Co,
Indiana. His pension file number is W10072.
Newkirk, Jacob
He was a sergeant in Berks Co., Pennsylvania Militia. Listed in Clues
for Revolutionary War Soldiers with Connections to Louisville and
Jefferson County, Kentucky. His cemetery listing says he was in the
Revolution.
