22 Nov 1953; Mrs. Lilly Adams Funeral services for Mrs. Lilly C.
Adams, 63 years old, former North madison resident, who died Friday in
Methodist Hospital, will be held at 10 am Monday in Shirley Brothers
Irving Hill Chapel. later services will be held at 2 pm in the
Christian Church at North Madison. Burial will follow at Bedford, Ky.
Mrs. Adams, whose home was at 4653 Young Avenue had been ill since
early in October. Born in Scott County, Kentucky, she had lived in
Indianapolis since 1945. She was a member of the Englewood Christian
Church. Survivors include four sons, Redford Adams, Vevay, and Wilbur
Adams, Manford Adams and Walter Adams, all of Madison; a daughter,
Miss Rosetta Adams, Indianapolis, three sisters, a brother and eight
grandchildren.

Landry and Walter Morgan passed away Friday, am. Funeral Monday, 10 am
from Shirley Bros. Irving Hill Chapel. 5377 E. Wash. St., followed by
services at North Madison Christian Church, North Madison, Ind., 2 pm.
Burial Bedford, Ky. Calling at chapel any time.

Funeral Services to be Held Wednesday at Mt. Byrd Church. William Newton
Adams died Sunday at 3:40 a.m. at his home at the top of Hanging Rock
hill following a three months' illness. He was born in Kentucky, Sept.
23, 1878, a son of Daniel and Lucy Adams. He was a member of the
Christian church of North Madison. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lilly
Adams; four sons, Redford and Wilbur, Trimble county, and Manford and
Walter Adams, North Madison, and a daughter, Rosetta, at home. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Byrd church in
Trimble county, with Rev. Jackson Hampton in charge. Burial will be made
in the Bedford I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Susan Ann Bailey
Mrs. Thomas Morgan, age 58 died after a brief
illness at her home near Dupont, Ind., Saturday night of pneumonia,
following influenza. The burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Bedford
Tuesday. Mrs. Morgan who formerly lived in this county, is survived by
the husband and several children.

Thomas Calvin
In memory of our loving father, Thomas Calvin
Morgan, who departed this life, January 6, 1926, at the age of 78 years,
after a very short illness at the home of Walter Morgan, his only son,
near Charleston, Indiana. He was laid to rest beside our loving mother
in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Bedford, Ky. She preceded him to the Great
Beyond by seven years and eight days. Peace to thy rest dear Father.
(There is also a poem written by Mayme.) Sadly missed by all the
CHILDREN. Written by his loving daughter, Mayme Mosley, Cincinnati,
Ohio.
Secondly: Death of Thomas Morgan. Thomas
Calvin Morgan aged 76, civil war veteran, died Wednesday, January 6, at
the home of his son, Walter, near Charlestown, Ind., after only three
days illness with pneumonia. The decedent was born at Portsmouth, Ohio,
September 3, 1849, but spent most of his life in Kentucky. He is
survived by one son, Walter, of Charlestown, Ind., with whom he spent
his last days, and six daughters: Dora Phillips and Betty Kemper, of
Indianapolis, Ind.; Hattie Curry and Mayme Mosley, of Cincinnati, Ohio;
Lillie Adams, of Milton, Ky.; and Lula Groves, of Madison, Indiana. One
daughter, Pearl, and a little son, Manford, with their mother preceded
him to his grave. Funeral services were held Friday, January 8, at the
M.E. church at Bedford, Ky. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at
that place. (Lula wrote a poem.)
