2004 Red Ball Who's Who
Caroline and Mico Rodriguez,
2004 Honorary Chairs

You may have seen them on the cover of Philanthropy in Texas magazine. No? Well then, surely you recognize Mico from the Dallas Business Journal, Face Time section which profiles "the movers and shakers of the Metorplex".  Of course, you have seen the recent layout of their restaurant style kitchen in the Park Cities People.  Hmmm, if you haven't seen them in any of these places then try looking for Mico at Paris Vendome, one of his favorite hang outs (which if I owned the place it would be mine too!).  That's right.  Mico and Caroline Rodriguez are the owners and operators of M'Crowd Restaurant Group.   M'Crowd boast proud ownership of the sushi bar Citizen, The  Mercury Grill, Taco Diner, the aforementioned Paris Vendonme and of course, the best Tex-Mex Dallas has to offer, Mi Cocina.

If you wondering what all the hub bub is about then you have just got to meet them. Caroline's story of losing her father to diabetes will wither your heart but her passion to make a difference will transform your spirit. Mico will tell you like it is and then tell you how to help.  Togther they make a powerful team and this year they have decided to bring there passion and resources to the ADA as honorary chairs of the 2004 Red Ball.  They invite you to join them for this wonderful event as they seek to promote the mission of the American Diabetes Association
to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Deborah Childers
2004 Red Ball Chairman

Former head of the Diabetes center at Baylor Health Care System downtown Dallas and now with Home Diagnostics Incorporated, Debbie has been a star in the making and is now shining her awesome light and energy on the ADA Red Ball.  Eventhough she has been a long time volunteer, 12 years, the Red Ball has been Debbie's first true leadership role in a particular event.  From its inception three years ago Debbie has been a leader in promoting the event within the diabetes community and responsible for bringing in more than $40,000 to promote the cause.  We are so excited to have her as the chairman this year.  Debbie's energy and passion is anticpated to lead the committee and event to the best year ever and setting the pattern for many years to come.
