| Walt Rudecki remembers Mr. Baney's math class in 10th or 11th grade. One day he handed out test paper scores, and Walt got his last, meaning he had received the worst grade. When Walt's mom went to see Mr. Baney to ask him for some advice on how to improve his math skills, she was advised to enroll Walt in a school to become a mechanic. This made her very mad, and she made sure Walt never had Mr. Baney again. Walt, by the way, retired from Amoco (now BP) in Chicago and Houston where he was Vice-President and Senior Counsel for Domestic and International Compensation and Benefits for 22 years. He is currently an attorney for a CPA firm in Houston, Texas. He also teaches classes in tax law or employee benefits law. And, we'll bet he would have made a whopper of a great mechanic, too! |
