It's
hard to believe. The season we started last November 2000 is almost over.
With six teams, two sessions, eleven games per session, that is what, 132
games? No wonder Kevin and I have no hair.
I really have to thank Sarah Leitelt for coaching the girls teams and for
letting Victor think he is coaching the Thelonious team. Sarah coached and
played on the Fire Ants, played on the Hurricanes team and coached the
Thelonious team with Victor. Sarah gets my vote as the most essential
person to Red Army Soccer for the 2000-2001 season. Sarah not only showed
the younger girls how to play, but she has been a great example of how to
be competitive, feminine, how to have fun, and how to torment all the
younger boys. Besides, nobody drives faster to and from the dome than
Sarah. She and Kevin Higgins might hold the lowest E.T. to the dome,
somewhere around six minutes I believe. Anyway, Thanks Sarah. It has been
a gas!! We all owe you a beer. Oops, sorry Paul. Having
Victor Hermosillo coach our u16 A team R.A. Thelonious was a great
coup for our club. We are very grateful for having the chance to have a
player of Victor's caliber coaching us. It has been a privilege to have
you with us. I
have to thank all the players and their parents who have put up with all
the confusion this winter. Saturday games, extra Thursday games, all kinds
of rosters, too many people, not enough and on and on. There has been some
awesome awesome soccer played. The players worked hard. Got beat up, and
beat up a few. All in all, the experiment was successful. We'll be here
next winter for sure. That's
all for now. Thanks everybody. Tim More
kudos to come.
