Death Edge...
This bot was built on a whim so I dont really have much pictures or any drawings from the early stages of its construction, or from the middle stages for that matter. The thought behind this design is a more reliable more damaging beetle than my current one Mangle Gore. Anyways, here it is:
This is the earliest picture I have of Death Edge, as you can see it uses two escaps for drive, the white plastic is 3/8" uhmw.
In this picture the other weapon support has been mounted, I plan on using a 1/2" shaft, because the weapon would be too strong for my normal prefered 1/4" shaft.
Here you can see one of the blades. This is made for a black and decker Edge hog, but it looked so cool it inspired my entire bot.
This is the top of view of said blade.
Here you can see the armor for the bot(1/16" lexan) as well as the other two blades from edge trimmers.
A few days before it was to compete, we got the weapon motor and controller. That is a AXI rotating can brushless motor and a 40 amp jeti brushless controller
At this point I was able to test the bot with the wavey blade. Here is the video of that test.
This is the damage from that test, thats 1/32" titanium that cut cut through with  ablade that isnt even sharp.
I also had a saw that i could use for really soft opponents. You can see the new titanium front armor as well.
This is the damage the saw did to the same robot frame, it was able to cut through the 3/'8"  uhmw as well as the 1/16" lexan.
I got the cool blade mounted and here is what it looks like now, waiting for a competition.
Check out a trick that comes in handy that Death Edge can do here.
