| TALONS REVEALED | ||||
| The group meets back up with the General and his men outside of camp, and discuss terms for their meeting with Deathbourne. Reaching an impasse, the General begins mouthing words, and Archer fires at him, warning no magic. The General mouths some more words, and Anear falls, dead, killed by the Warlords magic. A battle ensues, and Arabelles arm is grievously wounded by the Generals crossbow men. After most of his men are killed, the General surrenders to the party, but is accidentally killed by Arabelle as she tries to save him from a murderous Archer. Tygon arrives after hearing Arabelles cries, and finishes off the last of the Generals men. He rushes Arabelle back to camp for healing. A devastated Archer carries back Anears body, silently followed by the other Talons. Archer, determined to restore life to Anear, reveals the partys identity, only to find out that Tygon already knew. Arabelle is healed, and Tygon vows to help bring down the Warlord. Archer turns his armour black, and Dee follows suit with her robes. The camp is broken, and both the Talons and the Tuffs ride for Wahale. Quigon is left with the midwife and five guards in a nearby town. Tygon proposes an alliance with Mark Brightflame, one of the Eight, and an enemy of Deathbourne. The party is unsure, due to their unremembered history, but agrees. Tygon sends word to Brightflame, and agrees to meet him in Kahar. After collection supplies, the Talons and Tuffs travel south over the boarder and back to the city of SHark. Once at SHark, Tygon and the group go to get Anear resurrected. After a surprisingly brief ceremony, Anear is contacted in the nether realms, and is restored to the world of the living. The priest declares her resurrection a miracle, and refuses payment for the service. Dee recolours her robes to blue. A few days later, Brightflame arrives. Tygon and the party ride to meet with him, only for Brightflame to recognize the Talons for whom they really are. After a tension discussion, Arabelle and Dee agree to undergo trial by Purifying Flame to prove the partys sincerity. They succeed perfectly, but he is distracted by the talk of war before he can test the others. Brightflame agrees to fight with the Talons against the Warlord. |
