However, Jerlair was made into a true kingdom recently when the surviving nobles of the Thassain Assasination attempt decided that the Princess of Arken should be made Queen of Jerlair. There are those among the lesser nobility who don't like this change.
The People of Jerlair tend to be very honorable, and aspire to the code of chivalry. Knights are held in great esteem, and most men aspire to become one.
205 - present Duke Mikael Elland. Took regency until the council could meet and decide on a new ruler.
204 - 205 Queen Arabella Xavier. In her short reign as Queen she decided to create a council of representatives to help govern the land. Unfortunately when she and her family were assasinated, the council wasn't ready to take over the role of ruler.
