| The Eight | |||||
| The First of the Eight appeared approximately fifty years ago and was Sheema Windlass. Within 20 years the other seven had appeared, and through various divinations, some information about them was discovered. They were all normal people, before they changed. Some gained their power in extreme situations, such as Brighflames survival, but others just suddenly had theirs. The powers seemed to originate from the Immortals, the old servants of the gods, though no-one has been able to determine how or why these people have gained the powers. It is said however, that if someone can convince the wielder to give the power freely, then that someone can gain the power. Also, if someone kills the wielder, then that someone will gain the power. Irid Ironbreath is rumored to have been killed, but no-one has risen to take her place, so this last fact has been thrown into doubt. Here are the known Eight. Fire - Rumoured to be King Aganazer. However, his father had earned some unsavory enemies in his pursuit of the law, who decided that the entire family should be killed. So, in a carefully carried out arson, they burnt the entire estate and everyone inside to the ground. Except for Mark, who escaped unscathed. Rather than just go out hunting for those who had killed his family, Mark helped the local guard discover who did it, and watched them punished. Mark was a cheerful guy who thought he was doing the right thing. He perished making sure that Castle Darknight did not fall into the hands of Warlord Deathbourne. Shale DeathReaper Death Male Half-orc. His mother was raped by an orc, he spent most of his life being taunted for his heritage. However, as he was about to die, he seemed to talk to someone. Then he came back, and his very look could kill. Within seconds all the bandits were dead. However, this was not enough, and Shale went in search of more wrongdoers to kill. He was captured at great cost after he slaughtered an entire village because they turned him away. Hell bent on death, he was kept magically detained in a prison in Merkon. He was killed by an unknown asailant who had broken into the prison.
