| All four of us in the group liked about the same journal activities. We only had five for the whole semester. We mainly agreed that we liked the first one, "In the Hall of the Mountain King", by Edvard Grieg. This is Romantic time period. |

| Genre: In this song, the music played stays the same but it gest faster each time the round is played. The instruments used start off one or two then each time there gets to be more and different instruments played. The dynamics also increase from soft to loud. The melody range also increases from low to high. |
| This is a very interesting song that starts off with the bass string and is low and soft. as the song continues there are more instruments added and each round gets faster and louder. You can almost sense a lion fighting to keep his mountain to him. He is showing power and strength getting more strong and mean each time. This would be a fun song for the kids because they can use their imagination to guess what is going on and draw it out. |
| We enjoyed this song because it was fun to follow with it speeding up all the time. It was fun to listen to it and pick out the different instruments being used each time and think of what it means. The song also exherts pressure which draws you into it the faster it gets. You can almost feel the Mt. King fight. |
