Spanky's
Bio:
One In A Million
is truly what Spanky is. His story is the cinderella story of Red
Acre Farm. He is an amazing horse, and no one ever
expected him to be as great as he turned out to be. Spanky was
bought to be
Cindy Hendelman's pleasure horse, but became something much more.
When Amanda Steege's horse passed away, Cindy offered to let her ride
and show Spanky. So off Spanky went to the horse show, and he
won. As Mitch says "He kept winning, so we kept going".
Spanky would go to these big A-rated horse shows on the weekends, and
come back and be Cindy's pleasure horse during the week! Spanky
has gone to so many big shows, like Capitol Challenge, NEHC Medal
Finals, and even the National Horse Show!! He was even the first
recipient of the NEHC lifetime achievement award! Spanky doesn't
really look much like a champion, as he has less than spectacular
conformation. It just goes to show you you really can't judge a
book by it's cover. Spanky is retired now, as he is in his
twenties! He spends his time being turned out with his new best
friend, Mac. The two have a lot of fun together, and keep each
other in great shape! Sometimes fairy tales really do come
true, even if the chances are One In A Million.
