Alright, people. On this page I'm gonna list the movies and music that I like. Not that everyone else likes, but me and me only. I don't care if you think they suck, it only matters that I like them.
Movies: (no specific order) 1. My Girl All time classic. I cry everytime Thomas J dies. Freaky moment of the movie; Thomas J has the same birthday as I do; May 7th. 2. La Bamba I for some reason, love this movie and I love Ritchie Valens. For those who don't know, Ritchie was a huge rock star in the 50s, but died in a plane crash with Buddy Holl and the Big Bopper when he was only 17. 3. Steel Magnolias This is a true Southern Woman's movie. I'm not from the South, but my family is. This movie is hillarious till then end. Then I cry. But I'm not gonna tell you why, because you NEED to see this movie if you haven't already. 4. Twister I have seen this movie so many times, but can't get enough of it. After I saw it, I wanted to be a Tornado Chaser. 5. Apollo 13 Yeah, after I saw this movie, I wanted to be an astronaut. Weird eh? Yeah because they almost die in it. I have also seen this movie way too many times, but Tom Hanks is my favorite actor, so that's probably why. 6. Saving Private Ryan I LOVE war movies, but this is probably one of my favorites. I don't want it too often, because it's long, but everytime I do, I get really into it. It's so visual and so true...and Tom Hanks is in it! It really makes you realize what those men went thru...sad times. 7. The Lion King I have never hated a Disney movie, but this is my favorite. I'm not sure why, but when I was younger, I watched it about 10 times a day because Jonathan Taylor Thomas did the voice of young Simba. I'm over that, but I still love this movie. 8. Miracle I saw this in the theater, of course! And even though it has yet to come out on DVD, everyone needs to see this movie. Ok... I know I'm a bit biased because it's a hockey movie, but still! It's a true story and has some great hockey action scenes. I will own this movie the day it comes out on DVD! 9. Lord of the Rings (ALL THREE!) I normally do not like fantasy type movies and was a bit hesitant to see these movies. I saw the second one first, then the first one...and after that I was hooked. These movies are amazing and really entertaining. Plus, they just keep getting better. Normally sequels suck, but these movies get better as they go along. 10. Tommy Boy How can you not love this movie? And I swear, it gets funnier each time I see it. I laugh my ass off throughout this entire movie. Not only is it hillarious, but it also has so many great quotes. "Did I hear a niner in there....Fat guy in a little coat....Rob you were there...Shut up Richard!" I love it and so does the rest of the WMU Mustangs. More movies that you should see: 1. When Harry Met Sally 2. A Walk to Remember 3. Where the Heart Is 4. Black Hawk Down 5. Office Space 6. Best of SNL: Chris Farley 7. Now & Then 8. U-571 9. Coyote Ugly 10. Hardball 11. You've Got Mail 12. Mulan 13. The Wedding Singer 14. Ever After 15. Mystery, Alaska 16. Behind Enemy Lines 17. GI Jane 18. Armageddon 19. Passion of Christ 20. The Italian Job
Music: Specific CD's *no specific order* 1. #1's (Mariah Carey) Every song on this CD is good; probably because they were all #1's at some point. Mariah is one of my favorites, she has an awesome voice. Favorite Songs: a. Hero b. Sweetheart c. Always Be My Baby 2. Fly (Dixie Chicks) I LOVE this CD. I can listen to every song on the cd about 500 times over and over again. Favorite Songs: a. Without You b. Cowboy Take Me Away c. Heartbreak Town 3. Melt (Rascal Flatts) I went to their concert this summer, and it was probably the best concert I've ever been to. I've been a fan of these guys ever since they released their first single. Favorite Songs: a. These Days b. Melt c. Mayberry 4. Stripped (Christina Aguilera) I liked her first album, but wasn't a huge fan until this cd came out. She wrote every song on this cd and it all came from the heart. These songs are true to life and she has an amazine voice; she remind me a lot of Mariah. Favorite Songs: a. Can't Hold Us Down b. Soar c. Dirrty 5. Home (Dixie Chicks This is an excellent cd. This cd is more country than any other Dixie Chicks cd, but every song is great. Favorite Songs: a. Top of the World b. I Believe in Love c. Tortured, Tangled Hearts 6. When the Sun Goes Down (Kenny Chesney) I love Kenny, is there anything else that needs to be said? Once again, Kenny puts out a great album, in which every song is different yet entertaining. Also included are three live tracks; woooo! Favorite Songs: a. The Woman With You b. Keg in the Closet c. There Goes My Life 7. Dierks Bentley (Dierks Bentley) WOW. First of all, Dierks is hot. Second of all, he is the coolest, nicest person ever. Third, this whole CD is amazing! I love every single song and they're all different. You can go from a slow country ballad to an upbeat, fun drinking song on this CD. I highly recommend it! Favorite Songs: a. Wish It Would Break b. What Was I Thinkin' c. Forget About You Random Songs and Artists: 1. You Had Me From Hello, That's Why I'm Here, What I Need to Do (Kenny Chesney) Kenny is one of my all time favorite artists...country yes. He has a great voice and all of his songs are unique. I have been to two of his concerts and they were SO much fun! 2. There's More to Me Than You (Jessica Andrews) I have loved everything single song that Jessica has put on a cd. She has a unique voice and she's young, so I can related to a lot of the songs she writes. Her songs are fun and upbeat, and even though it's country...more people should listen to her! 3. Goodbye To You (Michelle Branch) Awesome songwriter. And she's so much better than any pop star aka Britney. She actually writes her songs, plays guitar and sings her heart out. Good stuff! 4. I'm Movin' On (Rascal Flatts) I love this song. This song is from RF's first album, which was a great album. I loved this song the minute I heard it and it propelled them to fame. Of course, I was a huge fan BEFORE that happened! :) 5. Redneck Woman (Gretchen Wilson) LOVE IT! Gwen said this song reminds her of me; hell yes it does. So what if I'm a redneck woman. Wanna sample? Here's some of the lyrics: "Well I'm a redneck woman, I ain't no high class broad, just a product of my raising, I say hell yeah and yeehaw!"
