This page is dedicated to the greatest person in the world, my hero... Darren McCarty! (For those who don't know, Darren plays for the Detroit Red Wings) I have been a fan of Mac's since I can remember. With luck and my excellent stalking skills, I have met him a total of 5 times! Below are the pics of me and Mac from each time I met him.
I think Mac is an awesome person. Not only because he is an awesome hockey player but he's great to his fans and the state of Michigan. In 1997, he started the McCarty Cancer Foundation for his father, Craig, who was suffering from Multiple Myeloma. Unfortunately, Craig McCarty passed away from the disease. Throughout his life, Darren has suffered with being an alcoholic and has risen above the disease to become a great father, husband and leader.
