Casting I’ve never broke a bone; I’ve never needed casting before – I can’t imagine the sound of marrow splintered through it’s shell, the same way wood fractures from branches as a boy uses green outer bark for support – to prevent him from falling. Nerves must conduct kilowatts in pain, generate shock tense muscled faces as a body comes down on a flailing limb – a lead pencil tip giving under the crashing force of its own body. Or the compulsive violent kicking confusion – what have I just done to myself?
