Sing along if you know the words...
"Duncan, Duncan Ferguson,
Duncan, Duncan Ferguson..."
... and so on!
Born in Stirling in 1971, Ferguson kicked off his career with Dundee United and Glasgow Rangers. The towering inferno was pried away from Ibrox by Mike Walker for a three-month loan spell and his 4.4 million transfer was completed by new manager Joe Royle in 1994. Ferguson made an immediate impact on Merseyside football but his career was interupted by a catalogue of injuries, disciplinary problems and a 44-day spell in Barlinnie Prison. He reluctantly departed to Newcastle United in 1998, but two years later returned to his beloved Everton, to the joy of Evertonians everywhere.
At 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in), the larger-than-life center-forward is feared for his aerial power as well as his deft footwork. He collected an FA Cup winners' medal in 1995 and is idolised by the Royal Blue faithful in a manner enjoyed by few Premiership stars.
Ferguson's commitment to Everton is branded on his arm. He has an Everton tattoo that looks like the drawing above.
