First of all let me have just a few minutes of your attention before you label me. Socialism (for those of you who do not know what it is) is similar to communism. Socialism is when distrabution of goods is collective (form each according to their ability, to each according to their needs). The "goverment" (a socialist goverment is a democracy so the goverment is the society, so no one is really being governed). Without getting into tons of technical detail, socialism opposes capitalism. Capitalism is our current system. Capitalism is when the means of production are run and owned by individuals for profit. So in other words their are rich and poor people in capitalism. In socialism people are equal. Now you are probably thinking that you are not an individual in socialism. That is wrong. Their is freedom in socialism. The past "socialist" countries you are thinking of never had a chance to blossom under socialism. They have meet with constant hostility from the capitalist. I could go on for a while about this stuff but I'll stop my rant.
Socialism & Me
I've considered myself a socialist for a few years. I guess a lot of people would consider me a teenager just trying to express himself, but I don't think that is true.
