Drawing are great... unlike some anime, whose drawing keeps on switching from good to bad drawing, saiyuki has a stable balance of 'good' drawings...

Opening & closing credits

Songs are the type that you can't get it out of your head... good graphics, especially in the opening credits... but there is some doubt about the ending credit "tightrope"'s graphics...

Characters

hahaha... i like how the creator changed the characters from the original novel to the anime... most of them are out of character when you compare it to the original novel. This gives it more comic relief... (e.g. Sanzo's supposed to be innocent... ^-^)

Plot

Its not far from the original novel.... a few side trips to make it more interesting. The plot switches to being sad/sentimental to being just plain funny...

Pairings

Tsk- this is one are where fans argue a lot... i support Kougaiji/yaone ^-^ (lol)... but then, people can think whatever they like, ne?

Seasons 1 & 2... even 3.

I think season 1 is just plain... well... general... in season 2, there is more sentimentality within the characters, especially poor Goku (thanks to Homura Taishi). Season 3... well... we just have to wait... ^-^

Manga

Frankly, i've only seen and read bits of it... as all anime, it's slightly different from the anime series.

Movies / OVA

I've only seen "Requiem", unfortunately... still good, especialy the effects and lighting. This story is sentimental and all... that's why it a "dramatic version"
