The newest gta game grand theft auto: san andreas is now out on xbox
here's the background story on it if u don't already know it
GTA: SA takes place in the fictional state of San Andreas which is loosely based on California. The game is set in the early '90s and sees you assume the role of reformed gangster Carl Johnson -- known from this point on as CJ. CJ lead a thug life in the seedy city of Los Santos, but managed to escape the confines of his old gang -- the Orange Grove Families -- when his biological brother Brian died from an unfortunate "incident."
Sadly for CJ, he must now return to Los Santos to investigate the brutal murder of his own mother. Things get a whole lot worse for CJ upon his return as corrupt law enforcers frame him for homicide. Amongst the glamour and glitter of the millionaires and film stars that also inhabit the city, CJ's forced to face off against old rival gangs, his own siblings, and all manner of criminal mayhem. His journey will take him on a trip across the entire state of San Andreas, including the casino-studded city of Las Venturas and the northern city of San Fierro.
