One out of 9 faculties in this university. The three major courses under this faculty are Mathematical Science (BMathSc), Biotechnology (BBT) and Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc). The Kulliyyah of Science, began operations in the year 2002 and offer studies in various pure and applied branches of the natural sciences. Initially, it comprises of two centres: Biological Sciences and Computational & Theoretical Sciences. In the second phase of its development, it will establish two more centres: the Centre for Physical Sciences and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies.With the Kulliyyahs of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Kulliyyah of Science will share one of the most tastefully designed academic campuses in the world. After 2006, the kulliyyah will expand rapidly, with many more programmes to be introduced in stages.
Computers in Science (KOS1110) is one of the subjects for Kuliyyah of Science students under the Centre for Computational and Theoretical Sciences. It contains 3 credit hours, and the contact hours incule 2 lecture hours and 3 laboratory hours per week in the Kuliyyah of Science computer laboratory.
