In The News...

12/23/06 - Almost five years after our hiatus began, we have some great news!!  ...Red/7-g is still on hiatus.

---------------------------------------------------------

2/2/02 - Due to current events involving Jim's new movie, and other musical endeavors - Red7g.com is on a temporary hiatus. Thank you for staying true to Red/7-g...We hope to see you soon.

---------------------------------------------------------

1/1/02 - Happy New Year! From The Whole Red/7-g Family

---------------------------------------------------------

12/10/01 - The album page has been entirely re-done. It was taking way too long to load on an average speed modem (approx 152 seconds on a 56k) so i changed the entire layout. Now you can select the album you would like to see, and go to the page for just that album, making it faster and giving you the ability to see a larger view of the album covers. Go check it out by clicking here.

---------------------------------------------------------

12/1/01 - BIG NEWS! Red/7-g's new album was contemplated last night. Sadly, it will be pushed back to a date that is so far unknown. But, this album is set to be a double disc album. It will be loaded with brand new tracks, previously unreleased/deleted tracks, live songs, old favorites, and special cameos. It will also be an Enhanced CD containing video of the band performing and other random antics. There may also even be a short film about the band itself. We know this album is coming along slow, but take a look at the albums page and realize something: Red/7-g has been able to come out with a new album every year at about the same time. This one needs to be better than ever, since it will be sold to the public instead of the others which had to be heard from demo tapes. Fear not...Red/7-g will prevail, and the best is yet to come.

---------------------------------------------------------

10/28/01 - "As a Red/7-g fan, we want you to experience our music in the best way possible. This includes having it in the best quality, which sometimes requires sacrifice. Therefore, with a heavy heart and with much careful thought, we have made the decision to push back the release date of our next album, "Red/7-g: The Ivory, Ebony, And Insomnia Chronicles", from Halloween to Thanksgiving. We, the members of Red/7-g, do guarantee you that this time will not be squandered. We are going to take this time to digitally re-master our recordings for superior sound quality, so that you, our loyal fan, can enjoy our music even more. We apologize for the inconvenience that this has brought to you, but stay true, Red/7-g will prevail." <- This was taken directly from the Red/7-g Newsletter (Volume 2, Issue 3) sent out today, sign up for it if you haven't already!! But it's true...the album will be out very soon, and better than ever thought possible! ...if setbacks do not continue, but if they do we apologize GREATLY...also! in light of the recent world events, the Red/7-g track entitled "NYPD" is changing it's name to "(Osama bin Laden Can't Fight) NYPD"....welp, cya guys later.

---------------------------------------------------------

10/10/01 - Red7g.com's One Year Anniversary!!  ...and we actually have complete ownership of the site this time around too.  the Red/7-g websites have changed a lot over the years; from starting out at expage, moving to homestead, then adding in namezero's free dot-com address service, and now we're here at geocities, using MSFrontPage and being loaded on a dot-com site that we actually own.  WELL THEN, i know that was boring, but i felt like typing it.  Red/7-g is still working on the new album and it should be coming out soon, it's over half finished.  more recording will come soon, since we're even ready to bring out another album.  welp, more later, sign up for the mailing list if you didn't already!

---------------------------------------------------------

9/29/01 - the band got together for another A.M. recording session, and we re-did a bunch of songs for the new album. we even have a new (spur-of-the-moment) favorite called "Murphy/Dunlap". in a couple hours, Red/7-g is going to be purchasing Red7g.com and taking on full ownership...no more ads! yay! ...anyhoot, more updates later, the album is coming soon!

---------------------------------------------------------

9/24/01 - we just opened the Red/7-g Store! nothing is for sale yet, but plans are quickly in the making. we are planning on releasing our first "made for the public" album, entitled, "Red/7-g: The Ivory, Ebony, And Insomnia Chronicles" which will soon be up for ordering.  it is set to be a greatest hits album (since it is the first album which will actually be sold).  come back soon to see when it goes up for sale!

---------------------------------------------------------

9/11/01 - today is going to be a day we will never forget. it's so mystifying how something like this can happen, especially in one of the most powerful democratic countries in the world...and how we can suffer a blow to this proportion. planes from all over the U.S. have been coming to the airport close to my town, and i feel lucky that police and security have stopped the living terrorists that have been said to come into the Youngstown/Warren Regional Airport. my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon attacks...and the people in all of the airplanes that have crashed. once again, Red/7-g mourns the World Trade Center victims and their families...we as a world must join together to stop terrorism...especially this ignorant.

---------------------------------------------------------

9/3/01 - just a quick one...i have the mailing list working, so just click it and send it (you will be signed up on the email address the computer you are on is using at the time, if you want get the mailing list sent to another email address, put that address in the email subject).  ok, cya later!

---------------------------------------------------------

9/2/01 - welp, we're finally back at red7g.com...it's about time.  i finally was able to finish up the lyrics page, so check it out.  i also am re-starting the mailing list, so feel free to sign up for that...actually please sign up for it..and tell your friends about it, i want more people this time around!  it's been so long since i actually thought i would get this page done, and i'm really proud of how it turned out...hopefully all of the bugs will be out of here pretty soon, come back whenever you can, since i can actually worry about updating the other pages now!  i'm going to leave the Homestead page up until it gets shut down, just for the heck of it, so you can still check out the 3 remaining pages of that here, here, and here.

---------------------------------------------------------

8/27/01 - the page is just about done, except for the lyrics page, which i just need to take the time to do.  school started for us today, so now i have less time to work on it...but i'll get to it.  i found out that many people don't have the Guild Of Professional Actors font, that i use a lot on this site (this site uses mostly Tahoma and Guild of Professional Actors).  If you don't have Guild of Professional Actors...download the zip file here and unzip the file into your C:\Windows\Fonts directory (if you have Windows).  there isn't really much else to say...i've worked out most of technical and proofreading errors, and mostly everything else is going to fall into place later.  come back soon...next time i write, this site will hopefully be up at red7g.com

---------------------------------------------------------

8/7/01 - well everyone, red/7-g is now back and better than ever with this brand new web site.  the last one was getting way too old anyway.  there are going to be hundreds of updates to get this page together and working, since right now...there isn't much at all...you can still go back to the original homestead page (which is basically shut down anyway, except for 2 pages).  as of some time in mid-late september, the red7g.com site will be completely moved to here, and the homestead sites will be forever lost in an endless spiral of time.  This site is going to be more intricate and to the point instead of so much time wasted on pretty buttons and things.  after all, red/7-g needs a web site as fast as it can before we close ourselves off from the evil the is homestead.  come back soon for more updates!
