Recreation Home was founded in 2008 by a group of friends who are from poor family. As now they are success, they had decided to repay to the community by helping others who have difficulties in financial aspect. The purpose to set up this community service is they wish to bring warmness for the people who need help just like how our home give us.
Before that, they had joined the local community service group namely ¡®The Long March¡¯. ¡®The Long March¡¯ is a community service group that raise funds and collect funds from their members and members¡¯ friends. ¡®The Long March¡¯ used up the funds to buy vegetables, fruits, seafood or meat, these nutritious foods and sent it to nursing home in that area. The purpose of this service is to bring warmness and wish to provide them a nutritious meal per week for the old people who stay in the nursing home. But, this community service group had ended up when the founder of this group passed away in early year of 2007. Then, a group of friends decide to establish a group that have similar vision and mission with ¡®The Long March¡¯. Besides that, they also expended the range of people who would like to involve in community service and the range of people who will receive the funds.
Recreation Home is welcoming those who had difficulties in all aspect to apply for the funds. In addition, Recreation Home pressed in transparent and fair measurement in selecting the funds receiver by doing a background study for all the applicants. The background study is carried out by a group of volunteer professions. On the other hand, Recreation Home is ready to receive any feedback from the members and community regarding the community service and wish to improve the weaknesses.
