Double Standard is a musical group dedicated to the belief that music should have no boundaries.
The group believes that the musical taste of people differ and are varied.
Double Standard was founded in July of 2001, Mike Ailstock (drummer for KillingTime)Keith Dunnaway ( bass player for Kimberlin) decided to come together and start a new band
DOUBLE STANDARD.
Mike and Keith invited Andy Burke ( lead vocalist for Killing Time to join the band) Double Standard immediately started writing original music despite not having a lead guitar player. Double Standard shortly after went to friend Smoking Joe Dew to be the bands lead guitar player.

The Mix 104 began airing Double Standard�s songs the first week the morning host was sent the bands latest cd . The Mix 104 started getting such positive feed back from their listeners, The Mix 104 decided
to spin Double Standard�s cd prime time on the air. Double Standard gave a live on air interview on The Mix 104 were one of Double Standard�s songs went to number one #1 on the stations countdown!
Double Standard did a live out door on air interview on Big Country 101 at a performance that Double Standard was doing that night ! 106.3 WPOB in Harrisonburg airs Double Standard cd . 98 Rock airs Double Standard�s cd on their Regional, National show.
