Recon Records was created in the fall of 2001 by Kyle Noland as an outlet for his own band Last In Line, as well simply for something interesting to do that kept him involved in the local music scene. Recon Records is a completly DIY affair, relying on the hard work and generosity of everyone involved. There are no plans for this label to become anything bigger than what it is now: a fun project that allows local bands which might go unnoticed a chance to be heard. With one release under its belt; a compilation disc called All Things Considered which showcases the best unsigned punk/rock/indie/emo bands D/FW has to offer, Recon is gearing up for its next effort. Release number 2 is a live compilation album which will be recorded on September 21st at the local bi-annual rock tradition, Yuppiefest 9. For more info on All Things Considered, or the as yet unnamed live compilation, please visit the releases portion of this site.

Since its conception, Recon Records has teamed up with Marty McFly Productions, a local company which offers many services to independent artists including webdesign, promotional photography/press kits, 16 track digital demos, and graphic design.
