wow. "For the man with a very small penis... it's the international pickup truck!" But it's all Ameican dammit! You know, a truck that large can be a bit of a problem. To illustrate, when a 3 ton delivery van hits a mid size sedan at a t-bone going 60, the side door beams, the ones designed to keep you safe and secure, will be shredded so bad the edges will show signs of melting. now this truck does not look like a mere 3 tons... as a matter of fact, it weighs 14,500 lbs. that's seven and a fourth tons. the equivelant of 2 and a half chevy suburbans. of course, the problem is when you're driving a car this large, you're going to be pretty lassiez faire about other people. you don't have the fear of death anymore, because there's nothing that can crush you in your car, including the bradley M1 assault vehicle. you can afford to take risks. when you do, other people lose. big time.
okay...when exactly are you going to be able to tow 12 tons? well, 25,999 lbs. that's 1 pound less than the point at which you need a commercial truck drivers license. Mercedes did that with the UNIMOG not too long ago. can it really tow only that much? I doubt it. They can claim under the limit, and the government won't check it out. clever, no?
but the cost! 100 thousand smackers. that price will keep normal people away from buying it, right? Oh you poor gullible thing... it's time for a little leson in economics. President Bush's 'economic stimulus package' grants people the right to buy "light trucks" for business purposes, and get up to 100,000$ back, provided they can prove they use it for at least half business. of course, they won't likely audit you to check, so can you say free car?
of course, a light truck is any vehicle that can have the rear seats fold flat into a cargo area. for example, the PT cruiser. they lobbied that it was a truck, so their average MPG would be within the legal boundaries. the chevy malibu Max also has this capacity.
