| This is my general Answers page on Worldcraft/Hammer Questions. 1. To change from fixed look to free look you can use the Z key or you can use the camera tool. You can also use right click and hold while moving around. 2. If you experience that your object starts to fade out as you move back from it you can fix this. Change your settings in the options part under 3D. The top part has a slider under the performance section. It is called back clipping pane.. slide this to the right all the way and now you will have to go way out to have it start blacking out. 3. Now this has been a pain to alot of people so here goes. You cannot, I repeat Cannot, have two or more texture wads in place and try to compile. It doesnt work. SO dont waste your valuable time trying. You will only get a migraine. 4. In regards to lights not working... Try not to embed lights into an object, it will not work if its touching any object. 5. Oh and Wadtool that came with the tools.. It doesnt work... Best bet is to look for Wally and use that... Just make your PNG files.. Select them and then drag and drop directly into a new Wad file.. they will import into the wad file and then all you have to do is place the png's and the wad in corresponding spots. for those that dont know your png folder and the wad need to be named the same... Png folder=NameWad / NameWad.Wad..... Now place the Namewad folder (name it what you want : ) in textures folder and the wad with your other wads.. now when you load WC/Hammer just change your Wad and restart WC/Hammer and your all set... Now when you compile it will use that Folder with your PNG's.. : ) Make sure you include your PNG folder with your map or it will show up white... 6. Hmmm.. I have seen so many people ask " Why cant I see my object when I compile it?" Hit Tab and look down... for some reason tribes places you about 100 mtrs above it when you go in... * Some useful info... I find that the higher up you make your object the higher it will be in interior test mode... I made mine at the top of the wc grid and it was under my feet.. almost enclosing me.. : ) So it is relative to the grid... 7. Most errors you will recieve in worldcraft relating to DIV by 0 or GoSmack DMoore these are related to things that Morian does not like.. Look at your object and then see what may be causing the error.. delte it, then save the file with a new name IE. NameREV, then try to run it.. if that was it then your good, if not you still have the original to try again.. : ) Keep looking for probs before jumping on the forums... : ) GoSmack DMoore is related to Portals... I get that when I create a portal for excluding light... If the portal isnt correctly placed it will give that along with a portal ID Number.. which I can never find... weird... |
