                                            A Beautiful Skin


Beauty comes from a beautiful and healthy skin. No matter what age group we belong to but the smooth, radiant and spot less skin can create  beautiful and younge personality.


If we spend some time daily on our skin it will make a real difference.


First we should know our skin type. Is it  Normal, oily, dry or combination skin type.


Causes of different textures of skin:


The skin has oil glands called Sebaceous glands. These glands produce oily substance called Sebum. Sebum is very good for skin as it prevents skin from drying or cracking in dry conditions and also helps by inhibiting the growth of microbes on skin. When the Sebaceous gland's function is irregular , if over-active and produce excess amount of sebum the skin gets oily and skin problems arise like acne and keratosis pilaris. Dry skin has insufficient secretion of sebum specially during winter season. Dry skin is more prone to wrinkles as compared to oily skin and stays wrinkle free for longe.


How to keep skin beautiful


A most important thing is aging. There are few factors involved which fasten the process of aging. If we avoid those factors we can keep our skin fresh for long.



Lack of sleep, Exposure to Sun light, Exposure to extremes of weathers ,air pollution, Stress and tensions, food we eat, Cigarette smoke, Lack of exercise, Alcohol and others are the main causes of unfresh skin.


Skin Needs Care . Fresh air is must for skin.


Avoid Lack of sleep: Lack of spleep cause black circles around eyes.First of all we have to careful and avoid late night sleeps. A good night sleep of minimum of 8 hours will be a help in to maintain a  fresh skin.


Wear sunscreen it really helps.One should choose sunscreen according to the skin type. People with combination skin and oily skin should choose water based sunscreen . People with normal skin and dry skin should choose sun screen with moisturiser.Also consider those sunscreen that can protect the skin against UVA and UV-B rays. The SPF level of 15 or higher. Use sun screens while having sun bath . It will save skin from sun burns.


Always use sun screen when go out even in cloudy weathers. It will save skin from ultra radiations. Apply sun screen 20 minutes before going out . Re-use sun screens after every 3 to 4 hours for best results or in case if swimming, sweating a lot or rub the skin due to any reason always re-apply sun screen quickly to save skin from damages.


I find Estee Louder and Clinique brand of sun screens one of the best.


Drink Plenty of water.Water therapy is also a very good source that keeps skin fresh and healthy. Drink plenty of water. Try to drink at least 8 to 12 glasses a day.


Moisturizers are very important to keep skin soft.Moisturizers are must for skin in cold weather. People with Oily and combination skin type should use water based moisturizers. The skin gets dry due to cold weather. Heating system also have bad effects on the skin and skin gets dry in rooms as well.


Light exercise is good and keeps body relax and fit. Exercise helps in good blood circulation in all body parts. Blood circulation means oxygen supply to whole body . When skin gets good supply of oxygen it radiates and looks fresh.


Cleansing and Exfoliation:Daily cleansing is must for skin. Skin get effected after a long day of exposure to polluted air, dust and sunlight. Skin needs massage for good blood circulation. Skin has small openings for breathing and sweating ,these openings are called pores. If pores are not clean properly the dust enter and cause black heads and acne. So the cleansing helps preventing the formation of black heads and also acne.


Easy Cleansing  tip for dry /normal skin type  : Take  half strength milk apply on the skin with cotton for five minute and then rinse off with only water .


Exfoliation means removal of dead skin cells. Daily thousands of skin cells die and replace by new cells. The dead cells should be remove so the fresh skin expose nicely. There are few method of removing dead cells. I find scrubbing the skin twice in a week or facial once in a six weeks best .


Choose a Scrub:Scrubs with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) are best for skin. Scrubs with crush pulp and crest of fruits are also good for skin.St. Ives Apricot scrub is one of the best I found.


Facial: Facial is very good for skin. It is advised to give facial twice a month but it is a complicated procedure and include loads of thing. It is advisable to have facial by professionals. The light facial at home can be done by using steam and the peel off mask available in market . The peel off mask is best and convenient.


Vitamin supplements:Vitamin A , E , D, zinc and mineral is good for skin.


Eat green salad and beans. They are rich in vitamin E and minerals so good for healthy skin.


Sufficient amount of sunlight is also needed for the production of vitamin D. Only body makes vitamin D in presence of sunlight.


Herbal tea is good for skin, green tea and mint keeps the mind fresh and out of stress.


Eat carrots which is also good for skin and eyes.


Fish contains omega 3 which again is necessary for healthy body and healthy heart. Healthy heart means healthy skin. Omega 3 is only obtain from fish or fish oils. Fish oil supplements are also available to buy.


The drug isotretinoin has been effective against the Acne as it is found to reduces the amount of sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. But always consult doctor before making any decision.
