Apple - Ginger Jam

2 Kg Sugar

2 Kg Apples

1,5 Litres Water

60grams Root Ginger, crushed

                                 Time : Approximately 45 minutes      Temperature : Low to Moderate

               Method :    Boil the sugar and water together until they become syrupy. Peel, core and cut the apples into thin slices. Add these and the ginger tied in a muslin bag, and boil in the syrup until transparent. Remove the ginger, bottle and seal.

Makes about 8 cups
