5 Tbsps olive oil
1 small red bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
1.5 cups raw cashews
1/4 cup raw sesame seeds
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup oil
1 Tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos (or other soy sauce)
Heat 1 Tbsp of the olive oil in a small frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper and cook until tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer the pepper to a blender.
Add all the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. The spread will keep up to a week in the fridge.
Good on crackers and delicious on pizza!
