| Submitted by: Kelly Panoff December 2001 Ingredients: 24 Large sized shrimp, raw (1) 8oz package of cream cheese Approximately 3 oz Wasabi paste ** Disposable pastry bag with a closed star tip ( tip optional) Directions: Boil, peel, and devein shrimp, and butterfly the back, leaving tails intact. In a mixing bowl, whip room temperature cream cheese together with the Wasabi paste, until smooth and blended. Put mixture into pastry bag, and pipe along the back part of the shrimp. It looks quite BOLD with the mixture of the bright green and pinkish orange~! Chill, and serve....ENJOY! **Wasabi paste is found at many grocery stores/gourmet stores, and Asian markets. It is a bright green, strongly flavored taste, enjoyed in many types of Asian cuisine, similar to the taste of horseradish! You may purchase it in powdered form, or a tube of paste. It keeps in the fridge for quite awhile, and one tube could make a double batch, easily, unless you prefer the BOLD side of Wasabi! |
