Ingredients:
1 C granulated Sugar
8 oz. Sour Cream
1 C chopped pecans
1/4 C butter or Marg.
2 C all purpose flour
1/4 C brown sugar packed
1 1/4 C tart Michigan Apples, peeled & chopped
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder

Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together granulated sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla on low speed with an electric mixer until combined.  Then beat on medium speed for two minutes.  Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to sour cream mixture.  beat on low speed until combined.  Stir in apple and 1/2 C of the pecans.  Turn into a greased loaf pan.  Sprinkle with remaining chopped pecans and press lightly into batter.  Bake at 350 degress for 55 to 60 minutes (test with toothpick).  Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.  In a small pan, combine butter & brown sugar.  Cookk and stir until mixture comes to a boil.  Reduce heat and boil gently for one minute.  Remove bread from pan and drizzle top with brown sugar mixture.  Cool.  Makes one loaf.
