| Fruit Pizza 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 (4-ounce) container whipped topping 8 ounces pineapple chunks, drained Glaze: 1 / 2 cup orange juice 1/2 cup sugar 1 (18-ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough 1 pint fresh strawberries, bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice peaches and kiwi 1 teaspoon cornstarch Cut cookie dough into 1 / 8-inch slices and arrange on greased pizza pan, beginning 1/4-inch from edge and continuing inward, arrange in circular pattern. Press lightly together to seal. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Crust is done when edges are brown. Top will not be brown. While cooling crust, blend cream cheese and whipped topping and spread over cooled crust. Arrange strawberries around edge, continuing fruit in circular pattern. Prepare glaze by bringing ingredients to a boil, then drizzle over fruit. This is really a different cookie recipe, because it makes one big pizza-size cookie instead of a lot of little ones. It's pretty to start with, but once the kids dig in, pieces of fruit and cookie crust are everywhere! |
