BROWNIES IN A JAR

MIX:                                                     TO BAKE:
1/2 cup cocoa                                      3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar                                      3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips                       2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup white vanilla chips
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans     

In a 1-quart Mason or Kerr jar, layer the mix ingredients in order listed. Use a
1/2 cup- measuring cup to add ingredients and a tart tamper to press ingredients down into a smooth layer on top of each other.

  To bake brownies, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat 3 eggs with a wire whisk in a large mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and vanilla. Stir in the brownie mix until comboned and place in a 9"
greased square baking pan. Bake about 25 minutes, until tested done.

Gift Idea: Give the brownie mix in a jar as a gift. Include directions for baking on a small card along with the mix. Add a little cloth square on top of lid before putting on ring.
