The Transfer of the Levitical Priesthood of Aaron to the Priesthood of Melchizedek

(and other Mysteries of the Priesthood, the Blood of Jesus Christ, and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ)

[Throughout this document, words in bold type and words underlined mean they are stressed for their importance to the idea being discussed.]

The mystery of Melchizedek, the mystery of the priestly garments, and the mystery of the priesthood of the believer are topics that are rarely explored or discussed in the church today. When you tie these mysteries in with the more oft teached topics of the blood of Jesus Christ, his death and his resurrection from the dead, new dimensions of the Word of God are revealed that birth an illumination of God's ancient plan of redemption of you and I. Why aren't the topics of Melchizedek, the priesthood and the garments not taught more often? Because it requires a thorough understanding of our Hebrew roots, and while that area is improving in believers, it is still severely lacking for the most part.

Who Was Melchizedek?

Our study of these mysteries begins with an exploration into the life of a man named Melchizedek, about which the Bible has relatively little to say. An introductory passage from Hebrews will introduce this man and Jesus' relationship to him:

Heb 7:20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he [Jesus] was made priest:

Heb 7:21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord swore and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek:)

Heb 7:22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

Heb 7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Heb 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Melchi - zedek: Melchi is Hebrew for king, and Zedek is Hebrew for righteousness, so this is a title "King of Righteouness".

Three beliefs as to who Melchizedek was:

  1. Jewish rabbis say he was Shem the righteous son of Noah who came priest in Salem, later Jerusalem
  2. The Christian belief is that he was the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ because of the following passage:
  3. Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

  4. He was a descendant of Noah and a Canaanite priest who kept the true religion from Adam.

Lucifer's Fall

In heaven, there is a temple:

Psa 11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Rev 15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Angels worshipped God in the beginning, prior to Adam being created, in the mountain of the congregation. Lucifer led angels in worship of God in heaven, but he was the originator of sin in the universe, not Adam. The following passages from Ezekiel and Isaiah describe Lucifer prior to his fall:

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Luk 10:18 And he [Jesus] said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Lucifer took with him from heaven one third of the angels in the rebellion:

Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The heavenly temple of God was defiled by sin BEFORE man fell and the world was defiled by sin. The heavenly temple, therefore, ALSO had to be purified:

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Heb 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Blood was the secret weapon of God that would conquer sin and Satan, and he kept this hidden from Satan from the foundation of the world:

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

So, the heavenly temple and the articles therein had to be purged of sin with blood. Articles such as:

  1. the ark of the covenant (Revelation 11)
  2. the golden altar (Revelation 8)
  3. the golden candlestick (Revelation 1)
  4. the table (Hebrews 9)
  5. the shewbread (Hebrews 9)
  6. the golden censer (Hebrews 9)
  7. the mercy seat (Hebrews 9)

Preview Of The Blood Atonement

After the fall of Lucifer and one third of the angels in heaven, God decided he wanted to make a being in his own likeness: man. But man was created with a special substance that angels and spirits do not have: blood. Man was made with a body, soul and spirit, and the soul and spirit are eternal just as the angels are. But the human body is unique to human.

The first man Adam and the first woman Eve succumbed to the temptation of Satan, the serpent, so the plan of God from the foundation of the world was set in motion. The first blood atonement for sin was instituted when God killed the two animals from which the skins for covering Adam and Eve were taken. This skins covered the nakedness and shame Adam and Eve suddenly felt when they had sinned: they knew something was different.

There is no remission of sins without the shedding of blood, and the life of the flesh is in our blood:

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Blood, therefore, became the central issue with God. This is because spirit beings never have and never will have blood, but we have human flesh and bones, a human body, because of our blood. No wonder Satanism is so focused on blood and blood rituals: Satan greatly desires to have a body and to have blood, the substance with which he was defeated.

We don't understand why, but blood is so powerful that it is the source of life, and it is able to provide remission of sins. Blood even has a voice that cries out to God:

Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

We see, therefore, that the theme of blood sacrifice, and blood being the atonement for sin, did not originate with the tabernacle of Moses and the Levitical priesthood, but in the garden of Eden. Several occurrences of blood sacrifice before the priesthood are recorded in Genesis:

Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Gen 8:20 And Noah built an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Gen 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Exo 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Exo 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The Sons of God

God wanted to have a family with which to have fellowship. Several different entities have been called the son of God throughout scripture:

1. Angels:

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God [Bnai' Elohim] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

2. Adam:

Luk 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

3. The nation of Israel:

Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

4. Jesus Christ:

Mar 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

5. Believers in Jesus Christ:

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Angels, Adam and the nation of Israel all failed and fell into sin, but JESUS DID NOT FAIL. Because of Jesus, Christians are now the sons of God.

Abraham and Melchizedek

Here is a key point: God chose the patriarch Abraham to birth a nation, Israel, and through this nation a priesthood would be raised: the Levitical priesthood. Through this nation and this priesthood, the Messiah would be birthed, Jesus Christ.

God called Abraham from the land of Ur, and he went into Canaan, the Promised Land. In Canaan was a city named Salem, which would later be known as Jerusalem. In Salem, Abraham met a king and priest with a title of Melchizedek, which means King of Righteousness. Interestingly, this man brought bread and wine, and he was a priest of God:

Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

So, Abraham had the bread and wine communion with Melchizedek, just as Jesus instituted at the Passover supper with his disciples and Paul instructed us later in Corinthians. This is incontrovertible parallel between the actions of Melchizedek and the action of Jesus Christ:

Mat 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Mat 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.

The important point to understand about Melchizedek is that he was BOTH a priest and a king. There were many priests of other nations already that had priesthoods, yet Melchizedek was both priest and king to the most high God. Also, the Levitical priesthood established later with Aaron were only priests, not kings. This is why Jesus was to become a priest after the order of MELCHIZEDEK, not after the order of AARON - because Melchizedek was both priest and king:

Heb 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Heb 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,

Heb 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Heb 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

The quotation from verse 17 above is an important quotation from the book of Psalms, chapter 110, not just ramblings of the writer of Hebrews:

Psa 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Limitations In Lucifer's Breastplate

Back to the temple in heaven, we need to examine Lucifer and his covering before he fell. This is found in Ezekiel 28:

Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

The priest after the order of the Levitical priesthood had a breastplate covering which had twelve stones, and we see above that Lucifer had only nine of these twelve stones on its breastplate covering. The twelve stones on the priests breastplate corresponded to each of the twelve tribes of Israel, the sons of Jacob:

Exo 28:15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

Exo 28:17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

Exo 28:18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

Exo 28:19 And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

Exo 28:20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their enclosings.

Exo 28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

Comparing the two lists, we see the three stones the priest had, but Lucifer did not:

The three stones missing on Lucifer's covering was the Ligure, the Agate and the Amethyst. Which three sons of Jacob did these three stones correspond to, and what was the meaning? Again, we saw from Exodus that each of the stones on the breastplate of the priest correspond to one of each of the twelve sons of Jacob:

Exo 28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

The order of the sons of Jacob is established in Genesis 49, and the order of the gemstones is established in Exodus 28:

In Genesis 49, Jacob was prophesying over each of his twelve sons. The three stones missing from Lucifer's covering, as seen above, correspond with Gad, Asher and Issachar. Looking at the prophecies spoken over each of these three sons, we see something amazing regarding WHY Lucifer was PURPOSELY not given these stones:

1. Gad:

Gen 49:19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

MEANING: Lucifer would never be an overcomer, and he will not overcome at the last.

2. Asher:

Gen 49:20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.

MEANING: Lucifer would never yield anything royal, including a royal seed.

3. Issachar:

Gen 49:14 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:

MEANING: Lucifer would never be able to bear anyone's burden.

When God formed Lucifer in the beginning of time, he left off this third row of stones, long before the sons of Jacob were born. He put limitations on him from the beginning, and in the process, God said, "Lucifer, you're never going to be an overcomer, you will never produce any royal seed, and you will never bear anyone's burden!"

So, from the description in Ezekiel 28, it appears that in the beginning, Lucifer was created as a priest offering a sacrifice of praise and worship through the tabrets and pipes created within his physical structure. He would come before the presence of God in the holy mountain, walking among the stones of fire, bringing the angels and giving God glory, praise and honor. Because of his beauty, however, he was lifted up with pride, and he fell.

God's Plan Of Redemption Begins

Therefore, as was said before, sin originated in the temple of God IN HEAVEN. Paul told us that the things in heaven needed to be PURIFIED WITH BLOOD. When God created man, and he fell like one third of the angels fell, God wanted to redeem man back to himself because:

  1. Man was made in the image of God
  2. Man was given life with a special substance that angels do not have: blood

God's plan was to get back into the earth, develop a covenant relationship with man, and redeem man back to a personal relationship with him, just as it was in the beginning with Adam and Eve. The overview of the plan was told to Satan after he fell, and after man fell in the garden of Eden:

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

From that moment on, God began to raise up a dwelling place for himself on the earth. Three major dwelling places have been:

  1. The tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness
  2. The temple of Solomon in the Holy of Holies
  3. The rebuilt temple of Solomon after the Babylonian captivity in the Holy of Holies

In the tabernacle and temple, there were three divisions:

  1. The outer court: containing the altar and the laver
  2. The inner court: containing the golden candlestick, the table of shewbread and the golden altar of incense
  3. The Holy of Holies: containing the ark of the covenant

There are three priesthoods referred to in the Old Testament, prior to the priesthood of the believer:

  1. the priesthood of Melchizedek
  2. the priesthood of Aaron
  3. the future priesthood of Zadok during the millennial reign of Christ (Eze 48)

Under the Aaronic priesthood, when Aaron died, the office of priesthood was handed down from son to son to son. This is what occurred up until the time of the occupation of the Roman empire in Palestine. Around the time of the birth of Christ, the priesthood had become corrupt, and the Roman empire had even begun to appoint men they wanted to be in the priesthood, who were not necessarily Levites. The book of Malachi, written approximately 400 years before the birth of Christ, shows how corrupt the priesthood in Jerusalem had become:

Mal 1:7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.

Mal 1:8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 1:12 But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.

Mal 1:13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.

As we see above, the priests were offering polluted bread and blind or lame sacrifices upon the altar. With these profane sacrifices, God was not pleased. What was God's plan as a result? This is found in Malachi chapter 3:

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

Preparing The Way For The New Priesthood

God said that he was going to send a messenger of the covenant, a person who would prepare the way for Jesus Christ: John the Baptist. We see a prophecy in Isaiah which John himself declared as he preached and baptized in the wilderness:

Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isa 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Isa 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

In the book of Luke, we read that this person indeed was John the Baptist, living in the wilderness and baptizing at the Jordan River:

Luk 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

Luk 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

Luk 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Luk 3:5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

Luk 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

So, the Lord lays down the law in Malachi, declaring he was going to send a messenger to prepare the way for the Lord. There was a period of approximately 400 years of darkness, in which there was no prophetic voice in Israel. From the book of Malachi to the book of Matthew, there were no persons receiving visions or revelations from the Lord.

The Lord says, "I'm going to get me a new priest, a faithful priest. I'm going to get a priest that can make intercession for the people. I'm going to get priest to redeem the people so we don't need to do these animal sacrifices any more. I want a priest that will allow access directly to my throne, and I want a temple set up not in Jerusalem, but in the body of a believer. No longer will they need to enter the Holy of Holies once a year to offer a sacrifice, the blood of bulls and goats and lambs. I want a priesthood where the people can go past the veil and enter my presence. I am going to change the priesthood into a new covenant priesthood."

Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, was that faithful high priest. Remember, the priesthood had to be handed down from father to son, and the ORIGINAL temple was NOT on earth, but in heaven. The tabernacle of Moses and the temple of Solomon were only types and shadows of what is in heaven. And God is in heaven sitting in the true temple.

Therefore, since God is sitting in the temple in heaven, he had the right to pass on the priesthood to his Son, Jesus Christ, to become the new high priest in the temple in heaven. With this new priesthood would come six specific changes:

Old Priesthood (Levite Men of the Aaronic Priesthood)

New Priesthood (Jesus of the Melchizedekian Priesthood)

The temple was a building made with hands

The temple is the body of the new covenant believer in Christ

The sacrifice was an animal

The final sacrifice was Jesus Christ

The offerings were animals

The offerings are now financial tithes and offerings, and a sacrifice of praise

Access to the Holy of Holies was restricted to the high priest once per year

Access to the Holy of Holies is available to all believers

Prayers were prayed at the temple in the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, etc.

Prayers are prayed in the name of Jesus Christ

The priesthood was after the order of Aaron

The priesthood is after the order of Melchizedek with Jesus as the high priest

Royal Blood Line Of Jesus Christ

According to Old Testament Hebrew prophets, the Messiah must come out the lineage of King David, and Joseph earthly father was of the lineage of David:

Psa 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

Luk 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; because (he was of the house and lineage of David:)

Recall earlier that we established God put blood in the first man Adam, and the life of our flesh is in the blood. The word "life" is "nephesh" and it actually means "soul", and is translated as such in the verse below. So, the real meaning is the soul or lifeforce of our flesh is in our blood (Hebrew words in brackets):

Lev 17:11 For the life [nephesh] of the flesh [basar] is in the blood [dam]: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls [nephesh]: for it is the blood [dam] that maketh an atonement for the soul [nephesh].

This may be THE most important verse in the Old Testament, because it explains the importance of blood - that mystery substance that Lucifer and the angels do not have. That mystery substance that Satan now does not have but DESPERATELY wants. He wants a soul, and the soul of the flesh is in our blood, therefore he can't have a soul without blood!

There is something about blood, not just the DNA or white and red cells, that brings life to the human body. It's a medical fact that oxygen is carried in our blood, and remember God breathed into Adam the breath of life, and man became a living soul, or nephesh - lifeforce:

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [adam] of the dust [aphar] of the ground [adamah], and breathed [naphach] into his nostrils the breath [neshamah] of life [chay]; and man [adam] became a living soul [nephesh].

But we must also understand that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins:

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Animal sacrifices were therefore introduced under the first covenant to cover the sins of the people. To temporarily cover the sins, NOT to redeem them:

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

So, in order to do two things:

  1. Redeem mankind once and for all where there would be no necessity for an animal offering, and
  2. Raise up one person to be offered once and for all who could also enter heaven and purify the articles of the heavenly temple that were tainted by the sin of Lucifer

God had to have pure, sinless blood. This required Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin. Why? Because the blood type of a child comes from the FATHER, not the mother. Therefore, God, through the Holy Spirit, supplied the blood TYPE for Jesus Christ in the conception with Mary, not the earthly father Joseph. NOT THE BLOOD, but the blood type, because God is a spirit and has no blood. Since sin is passed from father to son, Jesus had no sin due to his Father being God himself. This is why the virgin birth was necessary: the seed of any other man on earth would have been tainted with the sin curse of Adam. God put his seed of the Word through the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary to bring forth Jesus Christ, one born of royal, sinless blood. The virgin birth was a necessity, since every man's blood would have been born into the sin curse, and the perfect blood type that was in Jesus Christ was from God the Father through the Holy Spirit. The secret is in the blood!

The Bible tells us that the Word, which WAS God, dwelt among us:

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The word "dwelt" in John 1:14 means "tabernacled" or "built his tent", and means that the Word, which WAS God, came down to earth and made a tabernacle among us: his body. Just as in the tabernacle of Moses, David and Solomon, God came down and dwelt among us:

Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Birth Of The Lamb Of God

The Bible tells us Jesus was born very similar to an animal. How so? First, because he was born in a stable where animals feed and sleep. Second, because his body was placed in a manger, or feeding trough for animals. Third, he was wrapped in swaddling clothes, which are used to wrap up animals just after they are born to keep them warm:

Luk 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

This shouldn't surprise us, because Jesus is described as a Lamb many times throughout the Bible:

Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

Yes, Jesus is the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrificial lamb. The changing of the priesthood was underway, and in order for Jesus to be the high priest of the priesthood of Melchizedek, he first had to suffer according to God's plan.

The Birth Of John The Baptist

Under the Aaronic priesthood, a Levite had to be thirty years of age before he could become a priest:

Num 4:3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

In Luke, we read that John the Baptist was 6 months older than Jesus Christ, as he was born to Elizabeth and Zechariah just before Jesus was born. Speaking to Mary, the angel Gabriel said the following:

Luk 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

Later, we read that Jesus was about 30 years of age when he went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John, so that would make John over the age of thirty as well:

Luk 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

Therefore, Jesus began his public ministry at the age of thirty, the same age that is required in the Torah for a Levite to become a priest. But that priesthood had to be passed on from father to son, and that is where John the Baptist comes into the story.

John the Baptist was born to parents Elizabeth and Zechariah, and the book of Luke tells us that Zechariah was a priest at the temple, and his mother Elizabeth was a daughter of Aaron:

Luk 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

So there's no question that Elizabeth was in the lineage of Aaron, but what about Zechariah? We are told he is of "the course of Abijah", and this man was also a Levite and son of Aaron:

1Ch 24:6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

1Ch 24:10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

1Ch 24:19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

This proves that both Zechariah and Elizabeth, the parents of John the Baptist, were of the house and lineage of Aaron. Therefore, John the Baptist, supernaturally brought forth from the barren womb of Elizabeth, was a true priest of the lineage of his forefather Aaron.

As Zechariah is burning incense on the golden altar in Herod's temple, the angel Gabriel appears to him on the right side of the altar. Being on the right side of the altar is significant, because according to Jewish tradition, the right side of the altar was reserved for God, and since the angel Gabriel was there, he thought it was God that he was going to die:

Luk 1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

Luk 1:12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

But the angel comforted Zechariah, told him he was going to have a son and to name him John, and that he would come in the spirit and power of Elijah:

Luk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Compare this verse to the verse in Malachi, and it is almost a direct quotation, except that John would come in the SPIRIT and POWER of Elijah, not the man Elijah himself:

Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

John the Baptist was primary fulfillment of the prophecy of Malachi, but not the total fulfillment. As we read later in Luke, John the Baptist said he was NOT Elijah. There will be a coming of Elijah at the beginning of Daniel's 70th week, to again prepare the way for the coming of the Lord: his second coming. Next, we read that Zechariah, because he doubted the message of the angel, was made so that he couldn't speak during the entire nine month pregnancy of Elizabeth.

As John the Baptist preached and taught, probably in the area of Qumran, the people wondered if he was actually Elijah, but John said he was not. Instead, he said he fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, quoted earlier, that he was the voice of one crying in the wilderness:

Joh 1:21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that Prophet? And he answered, No.

Joh 1:22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Joh 1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

It has long been a question why these people thought John was the prophet Elijah. John did no miracles like Elijah did, and he was eccentric, living in the wilderness and eating locusts and wild honey, unlike Elijah. An interesting idea has emerged that may explain why the people thought John the Baptist may have been Elijah. Mark chapter one reveals John was wearing a girdle:

Mar 1:6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

Elijah had a mantle that he wore, and Elisha picked up the mantle after Elijah was taken to heaven in a chariot. It is believed that the mantle was eventually placed inside the altar of incense to be saved for Elijah when he returned:

2Ki 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

The idea is that Zechariah, who ministered at the altar of incense, when John was born, took the mantle out of the altar of incense and gave it to his son John. This legend may have been the reason the people, who saw John wearing a girdle, may have thought this girdle WAS the mantle of Elijah.

The Transfer Of The Priesthood

Continuing with the story of John the Baptist, he begins his ministry at the Jordan River, in Betharaba, in the wilderness area. If John was a priest, why wasn't he ministering in the temple in Jerusalem like the rest of the priests? Could it be that the priesthood was corrupt, according to the book of Malachi discussed earlier? The priesthood was corrupt, appointed by Rome, controlled by Rome, and illegitimate. Yet, John WAS a true priest, a member of the priesthood, over the age of thirty.

John the Baptist was called to minister in the wilderness and baptize at the Jordan River because he was to prepare the way for the transfer of the priesthood from the order of Aaron to the order of Melchizedek. He was to introduce the new high priest, Jesus Christ and symbolically transfer priesthood of Aaron to Jesus Christ after the order of Melchizedek! This is the CRITICAL point of the ministry of John the Baptist.

Jesus came to be baptized of John at the Jordan River when he was about thirty years of age, as shown above, and John was 6 months older than Jesus, so he was at least thirty years old:

Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Mat 3:14 But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

So, for Jesus Christ to become a priest after the order of Melchizedek, there had to be a transfer of the priesthood. This is what happens in the story of the baptism of Jesus. John the Baptist represents the true priesthood, bestowed upon him by his father Zechariah of the house of Aaron, while the priesthood in Jerusalem was corrupted and appointed by Rome.

The area in which John the Baptist was baptizing is extremely interesting. We find this place mentioned as follows:

Joh 1:28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

In this same area many hundreds of years earlier, Joshua brought the children of Israel into the Promised Land. The Lord parted the Jordan River, just as he parted the Red Sea, and let the Israelites cross over on dry land:

Jos 4:23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

After the people were crossed over and the priests had carried the ark of the covenant across the Jordan River, Joshua told the people to pick up twelve stones and place a memorial near the river:

Jos 4:9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bore the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

It's very possible that in the same spot the ark of the covenant was crossed over the Jordan River by the priesthood of Aaron, John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ and the priesthood was transferred to Jesus Christ after the order of Melchizedek.

Consecration Of The New Priesthood

Now, we move to similarities between the consecration of a priest of Aaron in the Old Testament to the consecration of Jesus Christ at his baptism in the transfer of the priesthood from the order of Aaron to the order of Melchizedek. In the Torah, a priest had to undergo two things:

  1. be washed with water
  2. be anointed with oil:

Lev 8:6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

Lev 8:10 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

Lev 8:12 And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

We find this same thing happening to Jesus at his baptism: first, he is submerged in water by a legitimate priest, John the Baptist, and as he came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit of anointing came down in the form of a dove and landed on him:

Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

At this point, Jesus Christ was set apart and anointed at the beginning of his ministry, and for the next 3.5 years, preached to, teached, and healed the people who believed in that ministry.

Incredible Miracles Cease At The Jerusalem Temple

There were some interesting things that began to happen at the temple at the EXACT same time that Jesus was baptized and began his ministry: when the priesthood was transferred to the order of Melchizedek and Jesus was made the high priest. These interesting things are recorded in a Jewish historic writing called the Talmud, in section Yoma 39b. This is not Holy Spirit inspired material, but is reliable historic information.

What began to happen is this: all the sudden, the miracles stopped happening at the temple. What miracles? The Talmud records the following:

Our Rabbis taught: During the last forty years before the destruction of the Temple the lot [‘For the Lord’] did not come up in the right hand; nor did the crimson-coloured strap become white; nor did the westernmost light shine; and the doors of the Hekal would open by themselves, until R. Johanan b. Zakkai rebuked them, saying: Hekal, Hekal, why wilt thou be the alarmer thyself? I know about thee that thou wilt be destroyed, for Zechariah ben Ido has already prophesied concerning thee: Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.

The chart below details the four miracles mentioned above in the Talmud, as well as the statements of Jesus Christ, after the priesthood had been transferred:

Miracle

Explanation

Jesus Christ Fulfilled by Stating...

The lot for the Lord’s goat did not come up in the right hand of the High Priest.

The first of these miracles concerns a random choosing of the ''lot'' which was cast on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). The lot chosen determined which of two goats would be "for the Lord" and which goat would be the ''Azazel'' or ''scapegoat.'' During the two hundred years before 30 CE, when the High Priest picked one of two stones, again this selection was governed by chance, and each year the priest would select a black stone as often as a white stone. But for forty years in a row, beginning in 30 CE, the High Priest always picked the black stone.

Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

The scarlet cord tied to the door of the Temple on the Day of Atonement stopped turning white after the scapegoat had been cast over the precipice.

The second miracle concerns the crimson strip or cloth tied to the Azazel goat. A portion of this red cloth was also removed from the goat and tied to the Temple door. Each year the red cloth on the Temple door turned white as if to signify the atonement of another Yom Kippur was acceptable to the Lord. This annual event happened until 30 CE when the cloth then remained crimson each year up to the time of the Temple's destruction.

Mat 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

The Temple doors would open by themselves. The rabbis saw this as an ominous fulfillment of Zechariah 11:1, ‘Open your doors, O Lebanon, that fire may devour your cedars.’

The next miracle, which the Jewish authorities acknowledged, was that the Temple doors swung open every night of their own accord. This too occurred for forty years, beginning in 30 CE The leading Jewish authority of that time, Yohanan ben Zakkai, declared that this was a sign of impending doom, that the Temple itself would be destroyed.

Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The westernmost light on the Temple candelabra would not burn.

The fourth miracle was that the most important lamp of the seven candle-stick Menorah in the Temple went out, and would not shine. Every night for 40 years (over 12,500 nights in a row) the main lamp of the Temple lampstand (menorah) went out of its own accord — no matter what attempts and precautions the priests took to safeguard against this event!

Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

What was happening here? God was removing his glory from the Aaronic priesthood, and transferring it to Jesus Christ, and all these things began to happen in 30 AD as Jesus Christ was baptized in the Jordan River and began his public ministry after 40 days of fasting and the temptation in the wilderness.

The Power To Both Heal And Forgive Sins

Now, Peter in Acts chapter two told the people to both repent and be baptized for the remission of sins:

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

But Jesus had no sin and therefore did not need to be baptized. He told John the Baptist he needed to be baptized of him in order to fulfill all righteousness, NOT BECAUSE HE HAD SIN. This was part of the process of transferring the priesthood by the washing of water and by the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.

Under the Aaronic priesthood, the high priest had the power to remit sins by the offering of a sacrifice. If you committed a sin, you could bring a lamb or a ram, or a turtledove or pigeon, and the priest could offer the sacrifice and then declare you to be free of your sins.

Jesus Christ, after his ministry began, started to do and says things that got the priests that were appointed by Rome extremely upset. They were upset because they had no idea that their priesthood was no longer valid, and had been replaced by the Melchizedekian priesthood. What did Jesus begin to do that upset them so much? He began to declare lepers clean, and they were instantly made whole. He looks at a man with cerebral palsy and tells him his sins are forgiven. He tells a prostitute her sins are forgiven.

What was going on here? Jesus was showing the Pharisees and priests that their priesthood had become corrupt and was no longer valid, and that the priesthood had been transferred to him. As the high priest after the order of Melchizedek, JESUS had the power to forgive sins AND heal:

Mat 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

Mat 9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

Mat 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

Mat 9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

Jesus had power both to heal and to forgive sins, and the ritual that was going on at the temple was not amounting to anything. Jesus Christ was becoming the high priest of the new covenant.

If you grasp this, you are going to be so happy! Those who say Jesus Christ was breaking God's laws under the Aaronic priesthood by touching a leper, by healing on the sabbath day, etc., fail to understand that Jesus was not under the Aaronic priesthood and was therefore not subject to those traditions. He was under the Melchizedekian priesthood, which had the power to heal and to forgive sins.

The Mystery Of The Priestly Garments

The transfer of the priesthood to Jesus Christ can also be seen in the priestly garments as commanded and prescribed by God in the Torah. In Exodus, we read the following:

Exo 28:4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and an embroidered coat, a miter, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

All the priests, including the high priest, wore a linen coat, a linen miter, linen pants and a linen girdle. The high priest, though, had two extra garments: a blue garment and an outer garment. The neckline on these robes were very strong and double reinforced so they would not tear. The garment was to be completely seamless and there was a single hole in the garment with a band around it so it would not be able to be torn easily:

Exo 39:23 And there was a hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.

This robe was not to be torn, because if it was, the high priest could die and God's wrath could come on the people, as the passage below indicates:

Lev 10:6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Lev 21:10 And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

We can see from these three verses that it was very important for the priest to never have his robe torn. Why is this important? Because in the Old Testament, it is recorded several times that men would reach up and tear their clothes and put on sackcloth when they were very upset and they knew God was unhappy with them. Here is one example:

Jos 7:6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

Jos 7:7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

The priestly robe was double reinforced because if it was torn, it was a sign that he had lost his priestly authority.

The Caiaphas Factor

Why is all of this important? Because if we go into the New Testament, to the time when Jesus was on trial at the end of his ministry for calling himself King of the Jews and blaspheming, we find something VERY interesting. Caiaphas was THE high priest, appointed by Rome, in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus was brought before him, and we read the following in John chapter 18:

Mat 26:62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

Mat 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Mat 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mat 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Up until his answer above, Jesus had not opened his mouth in answer. But when Caiaphas told Jesus to give an answer "by the living God", he was invoking a law in Leviticus which states that if a man knows the truth, and is asked to tell it but keeps silence, he is guilty of what he is being accused of:

Lev 5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

This is called the oath of swearing. When Jesus is confronted with this, he knows he must answer, because not to do so would be a sin. He gives quite an answer, because it CAUSES THE HIGH PRIEST TO TEAR HIS ROBE!!! As we read above, this was a VERY serious event: the tearing of the high priest's robe. Jesus answer to Caiaphas, the high priest of Jerusalem, so angered or infuriated, or maybe CONVICTED, Caiaphas that he tore his priestly garment. The question Caiaphas asked was interesting to, because he was asking him directly if he was the prophesied Messiah, the Christ, and the Son of God. Now the answer Jesus gave we must explore, because it is earthshattering in its importance:

Mat 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

This isn't just an answer off the top of Jesus' head, but it was an Old Testament prophecy from the book of Psalms! The high priest demanded an answer as to whether he was the Christ, and Jesus was quoting from the following prophecy of David in the Psalms:

Psa 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

When Caiaphas heard that answer, he knew that Jesus was quoting a Messianic prophecy. As the high priest, he KNEW the book of Psalms. But he had to also know that in that same Psalm is another verse of the utmost importance:

Psa 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

There it is! There is no doubt that when Caiaphas, the high priest, heard Jesus answer, went in his mind to the Psalm Jesus quoted and realized it was a Messianic prophecy, that he also understood that this man standing in front of him was that person that would take over the priesthood. This man, Jesus of Nazareth, was the man who was going to fulfill that ultra-mysterious prophecy of Psalm 110:4 - the priest forever after the order of Melchizedek!

Again, Caiaphas reaction to this was that he tore his robe, something that the high priest was NEVER TO DO. Something so serious that the robe was crafted such that it would be extremely difficult to tear. Yet Caiaphas did it.

You may be thinking: but how do we know Caiaphas was thinking of Psalm 110:4, and that is why he tore his priestly robe? How do we know Caiaphas knew that Jesus was the one that would take over the priesthood after the order of Melchizedek? Friends, we find an INCREDIBLE passage earlier in John's gospel, straight from the mouth of this same Caiaphas:

Joh 11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

Joh 11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

Joh 11:51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

Joh 11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Joh 11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

Yes, Caiaphas knew MUCH MORE than what you may think if you were asking that question. Caiaphas "prophesied that Jesus should die", and he understood that one man was going to die for the sins of the people! Did he understand that Jesus was the one? Did he understand that this mysterious, tall, sun-tanned Nazarene that was standing before him going to take over the priesthood? According to this passage, YES! Look again at the question he asked him at the trial:

Mat 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

He was asking him whether he was the Messiah, whether he was the one that they were waiting for. We he heard Jesus' answer from the Messianic prophecy in the Psalms, and knew that passage also said that the Lord said he was also a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, Caiaphas knew this was the man. He immediately TORE HIS PRIESTLY GARMENT. He knew the charade at the corrupt Jerusalem temple was over! He knew he was being replaced, and Jesus Christ was going to be the new high priest after he offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins of the nations on the cross:

Joh 11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

Again, Caiaphas' reaction to Jesus answer was:

Mat 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

As the high priest, he had to be dressed in his priestly garment! He didn't just pull something out of the closet and wear it that day. He was wearing the robe that was not to be torn, and based on the scriptures from Leviticus and Numbers shown earlier, this meant the priesthood was taken from him, AND judgment and wrath will be coming on the people. Symbolically, by reaching up and tearing his priestly garment, Caiaphas was saying that the priesthood had been taken from him, and he knew that Jesus was going to die for the people as shown in John chapter 11. He knew this was the man that was going to be the Messiah, the priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Since Jesus trial and crucifixion were at the feast of Passover, Caiaphas, as high priest, was supposed to be inspecting the lambs that were to be killed at Passover. But he just tore his priestly garment, signaling that he knew the priesthood had been taken from him. The types and shadows in the Old Testament, and Jesus' fulfillment of them, prove that Jesus was the final sacrificial lamb that needed to be offered. That is what is to be next explored.

Jesus The Passover Lamb

In the book of Exodus, the Passover feast is ordained by God, and in it, we see Jesus Christ fulfilled as the Passover lamb. The Jews who came to Jerusalem every year brought a lamb, and marked their lamb with a nameplate of some kind. God also marked his sacrificial lamb with the inscription by Pilate. The Passover lamb was killed between the evenings, and Jesus Christ was crucified between the evenings as well:

Exo 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Joh 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Luk 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

In the book of Exodus, the ashes of the red heifer is ordained, which is also a perfect picture of what Christ accomplished on the cross:

Num 19:6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

Num 19:9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

Mat 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

Joh 19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

Joh 19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

Joh 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

As we read in Numbers chapter 19, the ashes of the red heifer are added to the water in the mikvah and the people who were unclean had to be washed in this mixture of water and ashes, then separate themselves. As we know, Jesus Christ's sacrifice provides for us the way to be sanctified and separated after sin.

The blood of the red heifer was to be sprinkled seven times onto the door of the tabernacle, and Jesus Christ, who said "I am the door", shed his blood seven times in seven different places on his body:

1. His face:

Luk 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

2. His head:

Joh 19:2 And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

3. His back:

Joh 19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

4. His left hand:

Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

5. His right hand:

Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

6. His left foot:

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

7. His right foot:

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

The Seamless Garment

Another interesting parallel from the Old Testament with the New Testament transfer of the priesthood to Jesus in the order of Melchizedek is the theme of the seamless garment. As we read earlier, the garment of the high priest was a seamless one:

Exo 39:22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

Exo 39:23 And there was a hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.

Jesus himself, believe it or not, was given a seamless garment by the Romans who were crucifying him. How could the Romans know they were fulfilling a type and shadow of Jesus Christ becoming the high priest of a new priesthood, providing him with a seamless robe just as the Aaronic high priest wore? They were going to tear his garment and divide it among themselves. But instead, they decided NOT to tear the garment, but instead cast lots for who would get to keep it:

Joh 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Joh 19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

As the high priest of Jerusalem, Caiaphas, tore his seamless robe and lost the priesthood, yet Jesus Christ's seamless robe was not torn, we see further evidence of the transfer of the priesthood to Jesus Christ after the order of Melchizedek.

The Veil Is Torn

Another element to add into the story occurs when Jesus actually died on the cross. At the moment Jesus died and his soul and spirit left his body lifeless, something happened at the temple:

Mar 15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

Mar 15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

Many overlook the significance of the veil of the temple tearing from top to bottom. This is the veil that separated the Holy of Holies from the inner court of the temple. The veil was a curtain from floor to ceiling that separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. The Veil represented the flesh of Christ, or, his humanity. This veil was 60 feet high, 30 feet wide and 3 feet thick. It was no ordinary feat to tear it in two. Hebrew customs tell us that the veil was actually called the "hem of God's garment".

The veil was replaced every two years, because the sun and wind would diminish it's beauty, and it was blood-stained which required it to be cleaned occasionally. According to the Talmud, 82 virgins would weave a new veil every two years, using 72 cords and 22 threads each.

That the veil is called the "hem of God's garment" is fascinating because, when Jesus died and the veil tore in two, God tore his garment at the temple, signifying the rending of the Levitical priesthood. Yes, God tore his garment, just as Caiaphas tore his robe rending the Aaronic priesthood. God was declaring that the Levitical priesthood was forever fulfilled by the death of his Son, the perfect high priest:

Heb 7:26 For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Heb 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

The veil represented the flesh of Jesus Christ, and as his body was torn and beaten for us, so the veil was torn away. This symbolized that, as children of God, we are NO LONGER separated from our Creator God and the Holy of Holies, and Jesus Christ was the forerunner into that holy place:

Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Heb 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

You may wonder how the writers of the gospels knew that the veil of the temple was torn. During certain feast days, the door of the temple was left open and one was able to see inside the temple. When the veil was torn, the Aaronic priesthood was officially severed from existence, and a new covenant through the blood of our new high priest, Jesus Christ, was established.

The final words of Jesus Christ on the cross included, "It is finished":

Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

If you were to study Hebrew customs, you would discover that these same words were said by the high priest when offering a sacrifice at certain feast days, including Passover. The high priest would stretch out his arms and say "Naghid", which in Hebrew means "It is done". Jesus also had his arms stretched out, and as the perfect final sacrifice, he cried "It is finished". Yet more evidence of the transfer of the priesthood to Jesus Christ.

The Mystery of the Graveclothes

When Jesus Christ died and was taken off the cross, Joseph of Arimethea was given permission to take his body and put him in a new sepulcher that had never been used before. Nicodemus also went with Joseph, and he brought spices and linen clothes. These men took and wrapped the body of Jesus in the linen clothes as was customary for the Jews, and laid him in the tomb:

Joh 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

Joh 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pound weight.

Joh 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Joh 19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, wherein was never man yet laid.

A large stone was rolled in front of the tomb, and guards were placed at the tomb to guard it. In the book of Matthew, we are told "a watch" was set up at the sepulcher. A watch is a group of Roman guards or soldiers:

Mat 27:66 So they went, and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Three days later, the two angels and a resurrected Jesus appearing at the opening of the sepulcher, and those watching the tomb were extremely frightened. Obviously had nothing more to watch, so they went running back into the city to tell the chief priests what had happened:

Mat 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

Mat 28:11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

We also read that Mary Magdalene was the first to speak with the risen Jesus Christ. This occurred in the garden where the tomb was, and Mary turned around and thought he was a gardener. Obviously, Jesus was clothed, and probably clothed as a gardener:

Joh 20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

Joh 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

We also read that the disciple whom Jesus loved looked into the tomb, and when Simon Peter went into the tomb, he saw the linen clothes lying on the ground, and a head napkin folded in a place by itself. Jesus had shed his graveclothes:

Joh 20:6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulcher, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

Joh 20:7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

Let's look at the parties named in this story again:

1. Mary Magdalene

2. Simon Peter

3. Nicodemus

4. Joseph of Arimethea

5. the disciple whom Jesus loved

6. the guards

7. the two angels

8. Jesus

Here's the mystery to be explored: where did Jesus get the clothes he was wearing when Mary Magdalene met him in the garden? Which of those parties listed above could have given him the clothes he was wearing when Mary saw him? Unless he was standing there naked, he had to have been clothed, and Mary mistook him for a gardener. We know from the previous verses that Jesus was NOT wearing the clothes which Joseph and Nicodemus had wrapped him in. Nor are we told that Joseph left behind a change of clothes for Jesus in the tomb, thinking he would need them after he raised from the dead.

The prison guards didn't flee back to the priests naked, so Jesus did steal their clothes from them. Peter and the other disciple came after Mary Magdalene saw him clothed in the garden, and Mary saw him clothed. So, the only possible explanations of wear Jesus got his clothes are:

1. He just got them supernaturally, from God, or

2. The angels brought him the clothes

In Jesus time, the gardeners of those days dressed very similar, in linen, to how the high priest on Yom Kippur would when he entered the Holy of Holies once a year. It is very possible that the angels brought him his NEW HIGH PRIESTLY GARMENTS FROM HEAVEN, and Jesus was dressed as the high priest would be dressed on Yom Kippur. Why? Because, again, the priesthood at this point was completely transferred to Jesus Christ, and he was now functioning as the high priest of our profession:

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Heb 4:15 For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Touch Me, Touch Me Not?

Moving to the most important and interesting section of this teaching, we will now explore the statements Jesus made just after his resurrection when appearing to Mary and to his disciples. When Mary saw Jesus, but didn't recognize him, in the garden, he said something very interesting to her:

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Jesus told her he could not be touched, because he hadn't yet ascended to heaven. Well, the casual reader would think Jesus was talking about his public ascension from the Mount of Olives forty days later. But this was NOT what he was referring to. How do we know? Because a few verses later, we read that Jesus appeared to the disciples only eight days later and said the following:

Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace, be unto you.

Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Now wait a minute: eight days earlier, Mary could NOT touch Jesus because he had not yet ascended to his Father in heaven. Eight days after the encounter with Mary, he tells Thomas to touch his body. Apparently, it is all right to touch him now, and he MUST HAVE ascended to his Father. This is how we know that he was NOT referring to his public ascension from the Mount of Olives forty days later! Sometime, during the eight days between the encounter with Mary where she could not touch him, and the encounter with the disciples where Thomas COULD touch him, Jesus SECRETLY ASCENDED to heaven!

But not only to heaven, but down to hell! Is there any proof of his descent to hell elsewhere in the scripture? Most definitely. But first, let's explore what he did when he ascended to heaven. In the book of Hebrews, we read the following:

Heb 9:11 But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Heb 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

An explanation of the importance of these verse is necessary. Verse 12 tells us Jesus "entered . . . the holy place" after he had obtained eternal redemption. As has been shown, the holy place in Jerusalem, the Holy of Holies was NOT what was being referred to. God tore his garment in tearing the veil, and the priesthood as completely transferred to Jesus on Calvary. No, this "holy place" was the one that is in heaven. Remember above we listed several verses that tell us there IS CURRENTLY a temple in heaven.

Purifying The Heavens

Jesus said in his Father's house were many mansions, and that he was GOING TO PREPARE A PLACE for us. This "place" was NOT the mansions - they were already there! The place Jesus was referring to was access to the throne of God through the new temple on earth: our physical bodies, the temple of the Holy Ghost:

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Note the word "purified" in verse Hebrews 9:23 above? This is telling us that the heavenly articles of the tabernacle addressed earlier - the table, the altar of incense, the censer, the shewbread, the ark of the covenant, the candlestick - had to be "purified" by the blood of Jesus in heaven. Things that are already PURE do not need to be "purified". It follows, then, that those articles were defiled somehow, and stood in need of purification! Yes, the actual sacred furniture in heaven were DEFILED and required purification - not God or the angels, but the furniture of the tabernacle. When were they defiled? Recall the discussion of Lucifer's rebellion, and the sin of pride, that defiled the tabernacle in heaven. Jesus pure, sinless, royal blood was shed, not only to cleanse the sin of mankind, but also to purify the articles of the tabernacle in heaven of Lucifer's sinful pride! There is an interesting passage in Hebrews 12 that actually tells us there is "blood of sprinkling" in heaven, and there is no possible way this is any other blood than that of Jesus Christ:

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Again, this blood is in the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM where Jesus Christ purified the sacred furniture of the tabernacle in heaven. This blood speaks better things than Abel's blood. Jesus himself said Abel's blood was RIGHTEOUS:

Mat 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zechariah son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

So, if Jesus himself calls the blood of Abel "righteous", and the blood of sprinkling in heaven speaks better things than that of Abel, what other blood than Jesus Christ's could this be? The actual blood of Jesus shed on Calvary, therefore, MUST have been collected somehow - possibly by the angels or by Jesus himself - and taken to heaven.

This also explains why the soul and spirit of the righteous people of God, when they died, could NOT enter heaven when they died. They went into a place called Abraham's bosom, a place in the heart of the earth, where they were able to see hell, till the heavenly throne room was cleansed with Jesus' blood. This is explained to us in the account of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke chapter 16:

Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luk 16:23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Separating hell and Abraham's bosom was a "great gulf" over which you could not pass. Those in Abraham's bosom could see the people burning in the torment of hell, and vice versa. So, Jesus' purification of the heavenly things not only gives those living the power and boldness to come to the throne of grace with our prayers, but it opened up the heaven throne room to the souls and spirits of the righteous who died in covenant with God PRIOR to the death and resurrection of Jesus. As you may recall, Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be with him in paradise that same day. Paradise is another word for Abraham's bosom:

Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus Went To Hell?

Next, we need to explore the proof elsewhere in scripture that he not only ascended to heaven to purify the heavenly articles of the temple in heaven, but that he also descended and went down into the earth. A controversial subject? Yes, but completely biblical. Here are the pertinent passages:

Mat 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Act 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.

Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Act 2:31 He [David] seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Special mention is necessary of the passage from Acts 2. Peter, full of the Holy Ghost, brilliantly expounds on what the psalmist was referring to when he said the Holy One would not see corruption. Peter explains that David, since he is dead and buried, and didn't rise from the dead, saw corruption. Therefore, the psalmist couldn't have been referring to David. Peter convincingly explains how the passage is most definitely referring to Jesus.

Clearly, we see that Jesus spent some time, specifically three days and nights, within the heart of the earth, preaching to the spirits in prison. When did this happen? This happened prior to Jesus ascension to heaven to purify the heavenly temple, prior to his visit with the disciples 8 days after his ascension, when Thomas touched his side - definitely prior to his resurrection from the dead into a glorious, incorruptible body. According to Jesus' own words, in the resurrection, we have bodies like angels:

Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

And we also know that angels can transform themselves to look like human beings:

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

This will help to explain why Mary Magdalene may not have recognized Jesus in the garden after his resurrection from the dead. Another reason she didn't recognize him was because he may have had white hair. Jesus is described by John in his Revelation of Jesus Christ on the isle of Patmos as having this white hair:

Rev 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

During the three days Jesus physical body was dead in the grave, he descended into the earth, into hell, preached to the spirits in prison, and took the keys of hell and death from Satan. He had not yet, though, ascended into heaven to purify the heavens with his blood when he met Mary in the garden, which is why she could not touch him. But eight days later, after he had ascended to heaven to purify the temple articles, Thomas WAS able to touch him. Praise God for the revelation of his word!

Have you ever wondered why Jesus, after his resurrection and in his resurrected body, still had the scars on his hands and feet, and still had the hole in his side from the spear of the Roman soldier? If we think back to the covenant men of the past, the sign or mark of the covenant was a cutting of the male foreskin - a mark on the body through which the seed of the man passed when conception began to create a new life in the womb of the mother. Well, Jesus Christ was God's new covenant man, and he will bear those marks on his side for ETERNITY, as proof for any potential doubters in that eternal state, that he DID go to the cross, that he DID suffer and die for all of us. No one will be able to say Jesus did not suffer and die for us at Calvary:

Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Jesus, the new covenant man of the Melchizedekian priesthood, will bear the marks of the covenant for all eternity as evidence of his precious and holy sacrifice for you and I. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ's new covenant sacrifice for your sin nature and prepared for soul and spirit for eternity, please do it NOW, today! Your never know whether today will be the day you breathe your last breath:

Jam 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Much of the material presented above was inspired by the video by Perry Stone "The Code of the Priest"

These prophetic insights and ideas are extremely interesting, and pertinent to the future of mankind. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by men who wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:21), therefore, I believe that all events prophesied in the Bible WILL come to pass.

The main reason for my presentation of these prophetic insights is to have readers understand that a time is coming when the righteous will be removed from the earth, and the wrath of God will be unleashed on those who did not accept his Son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for their sins. Eternity is too long to spend away from God, in eternal hellfire instead of eternal paradise. Please don't delay....click the links below:
