On January 18, 2005, Perry Stone posted an audio on his ministry's web site which, for the most part, was an advertisement for the three main conferences that he will be holding during 2005. However, at the end of this audio, Perry stated that the Lord spoke a word of knowledge to him: that the year 2005 would include three "major" birth pains.

The reference to birth pains is from Mark chapter 13, in which Jesus stated that there would be birth pains until the end comes:

Therefore, there will be three of the following major events in 2005, according to Perry's word of the Lord:

1. A war

2. An earthquake

3. A famine

According to this clip, Perry stated one of the birth pains was the earthquake and resulting tsunami on December 26, 2004 in the Indian Ocean. Officially, this took place in 2004, but perhaps within a one year time frame, the two other birth pains will take place.
