My first trip to Hawaii was with my buff friends from Long Beach in the summer of 2001. We first played in Waikiki, where the weather was gorgeous! We went to the Polynesian Culture Center and got VIP treatment (because we paid for it!). Ate Alaine was the veteran on the trip, so she was our own tour guide. We rented a white Jeep Cherokee and drove around the island until we found a beach we liked, then we swam around until sunset. The guys put on a show for the whole beach with their bodyboards. =) Our next stop was the islnd of Kauai, which isn't as active as Waikiki, but it was just as beautiful. It's more country than city. We rented another white Jeep Cherokee (totally coincidental!) and drove around the island, playing at beaches and hunting for waterfalls. I think our best night was spent in the hotel room playing games....hehehe...remember? The first letter of the alphabet is "C"! I would definitely do another trip with them, even Richard. (Just kidding! I love Richard too.)
