Slip and Fall

The heart of my nature call me to follow

This path full of turns, falls, and hardship.

For each turn of life gives a new view around

Each fall a chance to look in wonder once more

At the steep trail I endeavor ascend.

For a life of ease is lessened by lack

Of the lessons of each slip and fall;

The measure of life is not in the summit,

But the courage to continue the climb.
