*The first rays of the mornings sun lit up the riverside scenery with an unhurried glow. The lanky ivorn-pelted male crouched by the Bluemoon river was long legged in stature, his bright green eyes narrowed with concentration as he crept towards his prey. The faint shafts of sunlight illuminate the Eyrie crouched ahead of him. Her bright rainbow pelt is clear on the bright green of the plains just beside the forest, and her lack of smell ensures she would not catch a scent of her stalker. The white lupe dropped nearly to his belly, a practiced and perfected hunting crouch, creeping closer to the Eyrie with silent paws and supple grace. He obviously knew this area, and knew it well, for the way he used the small shrubs and takes advantage of the scarce shadows was amazing. It was only a short distance from his prey when he rose mutely to a standing position and took off for the Eyrie. She had no chance. His powerful pounce was deadly accurate, and in a blur of white and rainbow, they went rolling. But instead of a highpitched death scream, the Eyrie started to laugh. Swatting her strong paws with sharp hooked claws at the ivorn Lupine but never hitting him, she snapped her beak playfully, he grinning down from above. The deep, playful spark within the Lupines dancing eyes, and his wide grin, are not the features of a cold-blooded Eyrie-killer. It is plain to see these pair are old friends.
~Hunter, ye great long-legged rabbit, youre a first-class clown~ The Eyrie hisses at him with mock ferocity, though her eyes glint with amusement. The lanky Lupine, Hunter, only laughs in return.
He knew his friend very well and the words were familiar. ~Ah, you just say that because I gotcha gooood!~ He chuckles, drawing out the last two words teasingly. She swats at him again. They tussle for a while; the Eyrie and the Lupe close enough to evenly matched for the playfight to last.
Finally, the Eyrie traps Hunter in a firm pin. ~Well, looks like the hunter has become the hunted~ She chuckles. Hunter pulls a rude face and struggles, but he is stuck firm. With a surrendering grin, he raises his paws. ~You got me. Good fight, Damien~ The play ended now, Damien steps back and lets the lanky ivorn Lupine climb to his paws. ~Where are ye headed now, Hunts?~
~Off to the pack for a while. See whos about. I gave Shadow, Dragon and Arrow a hunting lesson the other day, should have seen them going after a hare!~ Damien nods, unable to help a small smile at her friends obvious delight in teaching youngsters his craft. ~Id best go find Skye. I think she, Ben and Sean have joined an Eyrie pride, theyve got Eagle connections. Night Shadow Gliders, I think the pride's called~
*Hunter nodded, flashing another grin* ~Sounds great - good luck!~
*Damien takes off in a flash of rainbow features and fur, leaving the ivorn and cream Lupine below. Hunter chuckles to himself, stretching and shaking grass and leaf fragments from his pelt. He quietly mused what to do today deciding to strike out from his packs territory and try and find Snow. It had been many weeks since he had last seen his mate, and he was missing her. The mornings plans set, Hunter started off at a bouncy trot, ears perked and muzzle lifted, half-smile curving his lips upwards.
The sun was setting by the time he returned to Fire Eagle territory, but a barrage of pups yipped with delight and charged up to the lanky hunter. The white Lupine chuckled happily, eyes gleaming once more as a travel-weary paw was put out to fend off the exuberant youngsters.
~Hes back, hes back, there he is!~
~Uncle Hunter!~
~Where you been, big bro?~
~Will you take us on a huntsing lesson, Huntser?~
Hunter chuckles again, if wearily, and flicks his tail. ~Hey pups, I hope you behaved yourselves! And no, Arrow, I cant take you hunting at the moment geeze, you pups, I go hunting for the whole day and return home to you lot demanding more hunts! Off with you!~ He paw swats at the bunch and they giggle and scatter in all directions. A small, ivorn femme with red flames upon her back appears form the forest depths, an adult this time, smiling as she called the pups to her. About half were her own as was Hunter. Hunter flashed a grateful smile, dropping a nuzzle to his mothers cheek as he passed. ~Thanks, Mum~ He said to her, continuing through the forest. Flamey smiled again, patting a small cream head below her. ~Did you find what you were hunting?~ Regret flashed in Hunters dark green eyes for a moment, before he glanced back, his smile not hiding his sadness. ~No. I didnt.~
The main clearing was both peaceful and active. Rogue and her mate Kali were lying side-by-side, asleep. Scott, with the help of his Airax, was trying to fend off both Friendly and Tinsel at once, the three Lupes trying to mute their laughter as they wrestled, as playful as the pups Hunter had just left. Griffs large crimson form was lying beside Psylocke and their new pups, numbering three. Three left now, anyway. Both Griff and Psy nodded greetings at Hunter. Smiling back, the lanky Lupine moved to a quiet corner under a dropping willow, and rested his head on folded paws. He had nothing against spending a good day roaming, but it had been a very long time since hed seen Snow. Too long. He pushed thoughts of the ESLP from his mind hed never brought Snow near his territory, therefore the ESLP wouldnt know her. Wouldn't know where to find her to harm her. Unfortunatly, he didn't know where to find Snow anymore, either. A slight sigh escaped him, the length of the day catching up with him. His eyes closed and mind turned to sleep, with the picture of his mates smiling face in his minds eye.

My Friends
Snow
I saved her, so long ago now all I can recall is a pitiful crumpled figure, the shadow of the vampric male advancing on her, the blind rage that led me to her defence. We spent some blissful weeks together, and I dreamed of the time when the war between my pack and our enemy would be over, and I could bring her back in safety to meet my family. But before that time came I travelled to her den to find her missing. She was not there the next day nor any day following, and no trace could I find of her although I put every effort I could into searching.
It has been four years and eight months since I saw her. Even for me, it's hard to hold onto hope.

Hunting had come through for me yet again - earning me a good friend in the form of Daverone. One hell of an overgrown, massive 'Mountian' of a Lupe, as his lovely mate Lady Coy would say, but just watch him with pups. Never a more gentle creture to be found, despite his size. It was his way of hunting that caught my eye and caused us to become friends - like me, Daverone never took more than he needed. His early life was far from easy on him, but trust me, he's making up for that now. He is a Fire Eagle member and a decent and loyal Lupe and friend, and I wish he and his mate, the Lady Coyote, eveyr luck with their new family.
*Hunter lifted his tuned ears, catching, the long, proud howl splitting the forest air. A moment later the voice was joined by a second, a female, gentler and muscial, though with just as much strength within. Hunter smiled to himself as the sounds dropped together, the sounds of the forest resuming normally* ~Safe hunting, my friends. And take care of those pups - they're lucky ones, to have parents like you~

Damien, who could forget Damien? Take my word for it, she's not the forgettable type.
Damien is a rebel to the core, and if nessicary, lives up to the typical feirce appearance of her species. A warrior, through and thorugh. But a better playfighting opponent, I've never come across.
