*Walking through a forest one day, you come across an orange-flamed, black-petled Lupine sitting beside a river. His ears flick as he catches the sound of your footsteps, turning two deep, dark brown eyes towards you, a friendly smile flashing*
~Hi there. My name is Daring_guy, but please, call me Daring~
*He stands up. He is not a tall Lupe, and has a solid, muscular build, his striking pelt long and rich. He is in the prime of his life, fit and ready*
~I suppose you want to know a little about me? Well, I am the second eldest of A_E and Flamey's first litter. Mother and Father are the Alphas of the Fire Eagle Lupe Pack. I spent most of my teenage life with the pack, and my family. If I wasn't in the 'Eagles home territory, playfighting my older brother Bold or younger sister Fox_E, I was exploring. Father always said I had a nose for adventure, and Mother said I was very social and liked to meet new faces. The Wilderness Mountians were a favourite place of mine to spend time at when I was young~
*He pauses, smiling deeply as his memories flow back to him*
~And then I met a Lupess. Swift, her name was, and from the first moment I saw her, I knew she was the one for me. Come on... I'd like to show you something~
*Daring starts off down a narrow path through the trees, moving with a free, easy trot. You follow, increasing your stride to keep up. Daring stops and carefully pushes aside the leaves of a thick bush. Curiously, you kneel down and peer through. In a small, grassy clearing, dotted with coloured flowers, you see a rather pretty, slender cloud Lupess. Playing around her are two pups, a male and a female. The female is a bright golden colour, the male tending more towards deeper, orange shade. When you look at Daring, his face beams with extreme joy and pride. It is easy to see how much his family means to him. He smiles warmly as you back away from the bush and the peaceful scene within*
~Well, this is where I'll leave you. Hope to see you again sometime - and remember, if you're in need of a friendly paw, seek the Fire Eagles~
*Daring dips his muzzle to you in a polite fairwell, then heads through the bushes to join his family.*
My Family
The Fire Eagles Lupe Pack is home to the marjority fo my family - my many siblings, my parents, Uncle and Aunt, numurerous cousins, second-cousins... and then, you have my close family, my beloved Swift and our two pups... though now both are a long way from being pups.
Swift
Quite simply, Swift is the one I love. Those who lay a paw on her will be hunted down, that I swear by the Fire Eagles. My love for Swift will never be equalled... this I know.
Kometto
The elder of our two pups, a brightly-pelted shade of orange gold. An adult now, and a fully-fledged warrior who has prooved my match in the art of fighting. Quite fond of wandering... rather like myself at his age. He is a quick lad on his paws, and fond of a run - if from me Kometto inherited his wanderluist, from his mother it was his speed. He remains a faithful pack member, despite his roaming urges.
Sundance
Playful and good-natured, a lighter shade of gold than her brother, a yellow-gold. An equal warrior to her brother now, despite how much he tries to proove otherwise... but she is without Komettio's wanderlust. Sundance is most often found within the Fire Eagles territory, a beautiful, refined figure amoung those of her family and friends... but the image I will always hold dearest of my daughter is her as a bouncing, joyful pup - through now, she and her admirable mate Flame bring their own life into the world.
Puphood and Passtimes
My childhood was a joyful, endless string of bright sunny days. Living with my siblings, my parents, our owner Chris, and the various others staying with her, was pretty much the closest thing to paradise Ill ever know. They were the days any decent pup should be able to enjoy, days of learning, growth, exploration, and play. While this tame, stress-free lifestyle was wonderful to experience as a puppy, I could never imagine living it now, grateful as I am to Chris and the others who ensured my happy puphood.
I was born orange, the colour of Dad's flames. I was never painted like my sister Dreamer, my colour transition was a natural one. (She started off crimson and faded into pink, then pure white. Hunter started off life bright red too, but he was painted white.) At about a month old the first shadowy grey patches appeared along my sides. My siblings teased me, I teased back, and we forgot about it in the way pups do. By the next month I was half-covered in smoky grey that overlaid my orange hairs bit my bit, and at three months the two colours had formed into distinct patterns and the smoke-shade was darkening.
It was fully black by the time I was eight months old and with the Fire Eagles, and my bright coat stood out as much as Bolds or Fox_Es now. According to my parents, I havent changed a bit since then.
I'm not sure what first attracted me to the water - probably a competion with my oler brother Bold! But ever since I was a pup, I've been swimming, and I still do now. A passtime and a travel method, I never grow sick of it... save for, perhaps, in the depths of Winter... frosted whiskers aren't so much fun!
Another thing I have a lot less time for nowdays is roaming. Though I've far more responsiblities now than I did as a carefree, wandering teenager, I still head for the Wilderness whenever I can. Plus, of course, I travel frequently to visit Swift as often as I can.
I've been made an offical explorer of the Fire Eagles. To my parents and the pack they lead, I promise this - my life is not mine if you have need. I will serve and protect you and the pack, until the time my eyes see their last reflection in the water.
Family Tree
(By Chris, owner.)
My Lupe family is a big one indeed! At the head of the family is fire Lupe American Eagle,
or A_E, the Alpha of the
Fire Eagles Lupe Pack. With the exception of Slade, all the members of the family are belong to this pack. Some are also members of the Eagle's joint pack, the Mt. Desri Lupe Pack.
Daring and his mate Swift have two pups, young adults now. Their names are Kometto and Sundance.
A_Es brother Lopey and his mate Blazey
have five puppies, now fully grown, cousins to A_Es pups. They are Wolverine
, Jean
, Storm
, Rogue
and Scott
.
Wolverine and his mate Tae have seven pups. They are Shadow, Darian, Lance,Spirit, Mask, NightShade, and Jackal. Rogue and her mate Kali have two pups, Aslanae and Gypsy.
A_E and Flamey's second litter numbers seven, the same as the first. These new pups, in age order, are: Dante, Cloud,
Alkira, Arrow,
Frost, Slade, and Creamy. Born very soon after them were Rocky and Myst, their cousins, Lopey and Blazey's second litter.
After the birth of their recent litters, A_E, Flamey, Lopey and Blazey, the seniors of the Fire Eagles pack, made a decision. With their pack at war with the Evil Shadowed Lupes and the Lupine Terrors, until the war was over, they would bring no more pups into a life of battle and upset.
