Cain has mixed feelings about his family.

Scale and Kifa
He views both parents as weaklings. It is their fault he is in the mess he is; if they were smarter and stronger he would have been born normally. He has settled into a edgy state of ignoring his sire and dam. Long ago did he suck Kifa dry of her milk, the only useful thing she gave him. Long since had he stopped bothering to try and communicate with Scale, blind, mostly deaf, his tongue ripped out to ensure his only method of speech was grunts and gurgles. They are invisible to Cain now, and he shows no signs of wanting this to change.
Eve
Cain and his sister have a rocky relationship. They fight over anything and everything, argue about the best way to deal with their Banishment, and typically agree only on one thing the uselessness of their parents and younger brother.
Loki
Cain keeps a sharp eye on his youngest sibling, and not out of any form of brotherly protectiveness. He knows lurking below the soft dappled exterior of the angelic-faced Loki is the same ruthless intelligence possessed by he and Eve. Loki shows no visible sighs of hostility towards the ESLP for his Banished life, and so Cain waits and watches to see how his brother will use his wits.
There are others Banished with Cain and his family. Several older weaklings remind him of his parents and these he avoids. It is the young Lupines he has more interaction with.
Xix
This wild Lupess, who speaks rarely and relies on her claws and teeth to do her talking, Cain has a wary acceptance of. Her anger is easy enough to avoid and she has perhaps even spoke more than a snarled warning to him before. He permits her the use of his escape tunnel and she accepts with no word of thanks but also with no lashing of talons.
Quest
These two share what might even be classed as a friendship. They are bound together from their need to escape and wreck vengeance on the ESLP, and Quest shares the task of guarding Cains escape tunnel and permitting only those Cain wished through it. In return he is allowed access out into DarkForest, which he uses to hunt and build his strength. His Banished punishment was to have his wings torn off, and this act seems to anger him more than the actual imprisonment in the Banished Lands. However Cain is smart enough to recognize the streak of brashness running through Quest, and while they co-operate he is watching his friend as closely as he is Loki.
