I really wanna see you,
I really wanna touch you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.
I really wanna reach you,
Forever to be with you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.

It was written in the stars,
On the pages of my heart,
Oh, that someday I would find
The love I feel for you tonight.

On the ocean of our dreams,
Like a prayer you came to me,
And the longing that had been
Found its ending in your eyes,
And I am missing you tonight.

I really wanna see you,
I really wanna touch you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.
I really wanna reach you
Forever to be with you
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.

Across the waves, across the seas,
Separating you from me,
Heres a promise and its mine,
I will love you for all time.
Im wishing you were here tonight.

I really wanna see you,
I really wanna touch you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.
I really wanna reach you,
Forever to be with you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.

I really wanna see you,
I really wanna touch you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.
I really wanna reach you,
Forever to be with you,
If only I could hold you
In my arms again.

If only I could see you,
Oh, if only I could reach you,
I wanna hold you in my arms again.

Meg smiled, despite the tears in her eyes. She loved hearing Paul sing and play the piano, even though she didnt know what possessed him to do it just then.
Paul stood up from the piano bench and grabbed the microphone as the audience applauded. He smiled a bit nervously as he spoke. Good evening, everyone. I wont take up any more of your time as I have to. He quickly drew in a breath. Whats he up to? I played this song for a very special woman in my life, and if you were paying attention, youd know that the lyrics said, Like a prayer you came to me, and the longing that had been found its ending in your eyes. He paused. Meg, youre amazing. Youve given me so much to be thankful for by loving me, and loving you in return is a feeling like no other. I cant imagine not being with you another secondI would go crazy. Solomon 8:7 says, Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it.
Meg found the tears in her eyes nearly spilling on her cheeks. She quickly wiped them away.
He continued. I will never desert you. Your secrets I will keep and Ill make every day ours. I love you. Will you marry me, Meg?
A million thoughts ran through her head.
Im 19 years old! Im barely over having cancerI have five years to live.
But I love himI need him. I cant imagine going through my last five years without him.

The whole rooms attention was diverted to Meg.
Well, girl, why not?
She smiled and nodded. As the room broke into applause and cheering, Paul hurried off the stage toward her.
That was sneaky.
It was, eh?
I never thought Id marry a Canadian. She grinned. Come here, you.
They kissed and wrapped their arms around each other. The moment was surreal, a second of peace in her soon perilous world.
