The Survivor
We live with danger every single day,
Holding the cards of fate with which we must play,
A bomb explodes on a crowded plane,
Families left behind to suffer the pain,
A train crash in a busy station,
The heart felt grief across the nation.

An underground fire where did it start,
More wasted lives will now depart,
Another rape victimdies that's number nine,
A small child is trapped inside a mine,
One more swimmer is lost at sea,
Once again unforeseen tragedy.

The earthquake hits, a natural disaster,
A death count is growing faster and faster,
A ship sank the first time it sailed,
An infant is killed because it wailed,
The gim reaper standing proud,
Chosing at random from the madding croud.

A nuclear plant spills it's toxic guts,
Someone dies from eating nuts,
A disease attacks and gets it's fill,
Another teenager dies from another bad pill,
A house fire people trapped inside,
Help comes too late the family has died.

Huricanes and tornado's strike without a care,
the pitiful dead lay everywhere,
Wars and famine claim thousands each year,
A hit and run driver that smells of beer,
Death by natural causes could be for you,
Maybe alcohol or sniffing glue.

But of the tragedy survivors what do we hear,
They have to live with their mortal fear,
To suffer the guilt of those who've died,
Their turn hadn't come because death had lied,
But can their lives be the same again,
While they wait for him their souls to claim.
