I came across this one page of the artist Franz West's work in the
New Art Examiner-May 2000-magazine. I know that I like working with
repetitive images-the painterly marks made by West to me resemble a
primitive character-physical-savage-random. There is a physical language
that I can read into them. I know that my marks are very physical and random.
