I picked up the Nate Dogg CD yesterday, Music and Me. Not bad. I'll give a more thorough review of it when I listen to it more. I only listened to parts of each track. Fabolous and Snoop have good parts in it. I like Fabolous..kinda reminds me of Jadakiss. His CD is pretty bangin too. But I think the hip hop album of the year goes to JayZ's The Blueprint. Anybody else feel me on that? Oh yeah, i also got Greg Lopez's mixed CD, Afterhours IV. Kinda mellow, but its nice to listen to while working or driving. Anyone get the fat joe cd? not like im a big fan or anything..hehe..

Isn't that when the main plot of the story runs through numerous characters in stead of one or two MAIN characters? I guess it's like Friends. Each of the 6 friends are 100% important..

Ok, so this is where I get to rant and rave huh. Welcome mr.dennis to the world of blogging. After countless hours of being entertained reading other peoples blogs, I do believe it is time to contribute to the entertainment of others. But who says my life is entertaining. ha. My life consists of work and home. Two things i truly dread going to each day. Both unavoidable. The irony. Work, work, work. The people you work with and work for truly make a difference. At first the money was great. shit. give me enough money and ill do anything, the ho that i am. hehe.. Not anymore my friends, I can truly say I would be much happier earning less than spending 75% of my day in this shithole i go to work at. Not that I dont like what I do. Its cool...I think i found what I wanna do, which is graphics design. Hrmm..who knows. But for this chump I work for, hellz no. This guy needs to take a anger management course or something. His style of management is unorthodox to say the least. Never encountered anyone like him in my years of work experience. Money aint a thing. Thats for sure. Damn i miss school. Lets hear about more horror work stories.

i'm thinking of all my guy friends and i wonder what i category i fit in.......i relate better to guys than i do to girls....i guess i'm just that way..always been a tomboy trying to look the "chick look".......so i say..you should add another category "just one of the guys" - a girl, most guys overlook cuz i'm just one of dudes....

yeah..that's me...

but yeah...i'm taking applications for a clubbing buddy since i had a "falling out" with my previous one...may be cuz i'm just one of the dudes?

Beats the fat shit outta me. I haven't been in the holiday spirit for oh, about, 10 years. I've been trying to boycott it for the past few years, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, eh? It helps that I haven't been to church in seven years.

Quality over quantity, my friends. I think it's possible to find a friend who fulfills one or more of the categories, with a little prodding.. or encouragement. Or you can do the lone ranger thing like I plan to do, and pull a 60 hour week at work (including split shifts) so that when you get home, you're too tired to want companionship.

Why buy into the asshole image? Asshole begets asshole is what I like to say, and whore begets whore. One of my friends at home is tryin waaaaaay too hard to get the woman of his dreams, and it amuses me to no end. He's been reading too many of the Maxim/GQ/FHM guides and tells me of his study/coffee "dates". He even offered to let me borrow his books. No thanks. He also says that the women up here aren't as attractive as down in UCLA. He wants to move back down there. Argh, another lost soul poisoned by the evil materialism of Lozangeles. Anyway, I can't play the asshole, how ever hard I try. I got the curmudgeonly, sardonic bit down, but I can't do asshole with any sort of sincerity.

Nice theory. I've thought about that before, having different women for different things. I'd have someone to go clubbing with, go hiking with, talking on the phone with, even H-L-F's with ("you busy tonight, no?, come over then"). I even complained that part of the problem is that no one girl is really worth all the effort you would want to give to someone you really LOVE. Then I saw an old acquaintance/friend that I haven't really talked to in a few years, and I dropped everything. Tried to go hiking with her, clubbing with her, talk on the phone with her. But she didn't respond, perhaps because she's too busy with other things for now. So now, I need to put together a new "roster" of activity partners (as they call it in craigslist). I did learn a lesson, a few really...I shouldn't just drop everyone for one girl, even is she's worth it. I should just find the extra time to court her, and find time for the other ones as well.

The other disadvantage? of the multi-pronged approach is that there comes a time when none of the above is available for what you need at that moment. Perhaps you only want to go hiking, but the hiking buddy is nowhere to be found. You can go out with the cuddling buddy, because you only want to go hiking. But a true girlfriend is everything and nothing at the same time. She is what you need her to be, as you are exactly what she needs you to be.

VOLTRON theory

Remember Voltron? Remember the five lions and their respective pilots? (Keith, Lance, Pidge, Hunk, and Princess Alura (filling in for enslaved Sven). Anyway, the five lions formed to make a big, superhero robot who faced new challenges every episode from hideously mutated (and abused) ROBEASTS.

Well, since I've been theorizing a lot about my life especially about romance, I figured I'd walk an alternate course from this day on. Okay.. since my last romantic endeavor ended like they usually do (me thinking the world of the girl, she admiring me for my friendship.. and that's the extent our connection would reach) I know that there's a needed change in direction. I can't necessarily change myself into the asshole I think I need to be to get proper attention, so instead, I'd rather collect and compose contracts.

WHAT?

See, with the last girl, I've gained a friendship that I can not deny makes me happy and really, really brings sunshine at any given moment. I gotta respect that. So, when before, I was looking for the banter and soulful connection (and fun) in a girlfriend, I have found that in my FRIEND. She, for example, would probably be the Black Lion - the foundation, the leader, the soul, mind, and heart.

But then, there's the physical aspect that's missing. Hmm. This is where most people would look for the HOMEY-LOVER-FRIEND aspect, I'd like to seperate it in two parts instead: the CUDDLE Buddy and the WHATEVER ELSE Buddy.

The CUDDLE buddy would take the role of the late night - random strolls/ chills etc and DVD/ Blockbuster nights when, you know, you both just need to be in someone's arms and chill. Will more things happen? Possibly, but most likely, the drama ends where the clothes stay on and the kissing does not exist. She has to be single.

The WHATEVER ELSE buddy - well, she takes the role of the more physical partner. To what extent, that's obligatory. But random kisses have to remain as so. She also has to be single. BOTH buddies are exempt from contract when they find boyfriends.

SO let's say they represent the arms - Red and Green Lions.

Then we come to the another aspect of the PHYSICAL side, but not in a sexual way. We gotta get to the clubs, the beach, the parks, the hiking trails right? So, for the companionship part which is a lot more focused on going out and chillin, these are the girls.

Club/ The Scene Buddy: She has to be able to groove.. or at least willing to.. and not mind grinding on the dancefloor a bit (all innocent though!) She is also the one who'll go to concerts or hip hop shows or cafes or Borders, etc.

Earthy Buddy: She'll be the one into sports, hiking, etc.. just more physical stuff. Very limited on Prissiness. We'd chill at In and Out or get a beer.

These girls would be the legs: Yellow and Blue Lions.

We're young damnit. Why try so hard to fill all our voids with one person, when there's many out there who can play roles. Steven Soderburgh uses ensemble casts for his movies - Traffic/ Oceans 11. Why not hire an ensemble cast? Get more for your buck.

Obviously there could be some crossing over in roles, but hey, why not?

AND, I offer this idea to the world, not just guys. LADIES, you know you can't find the "right" one.. or at least land him just yet. Screw it, collect guys to play roles, I don't think they'd mind. Just because you are, say, a cuddle buddy for some dood, it doesn't mean he can't be the CLUBBING buddy of another girl. Hey, the more the merrier! =)

I thought i could get over this... the task is proving itself harder than i thought. I guess it's just hard when this person is such a big part of your new life in a new city. I don't want to lose a friend. I just want more! heheh..we always want more...

Whoa. I hear voices.

Holidays are now commercialized like heck more than ever. You see what they're doing to package patriotism and put it on your shelf. Corporations are just con artists. The type of folks to sell ice to eskimos. And although we all critique, we all continue to take part. Is there no way to change the system or escape it? Plus this season embodies all the sloth and excess that the U.S. can be.

I try to balance it out by convincing myself how much I love to kick it with my family and that holidays give me an opportunity to do that. It gives you a reason to be celebratory and there's nothing wrong with that kind of positivity to me.

I can't deny I like gifts but I'm a product of this materialistic society. Can we break from it? Most likely not, unless you take to the woods to live off the land as a hermit. I don't know. It sucks. Even if you're poor, you're still pressured to take part and by those diamonds for your girl, and in most cases you want to but it ain't practical.

Alright folks, back to internet shopping. Positivity.
